Excellent Paris Hotel!
1) Location is excellent - for many reasons, its close to the Cathedral Notred Dame, Louvre, Musee' d Orsay, etc. Also for those of you that take the train from the airport, the hotel sits roughly a block away from a convenient entrance (escalators up and down!) to the St Michel station which is one of about 4 stops on the express B train to the airport (the "long" line will about double your time to the airport). So instead of a 40 Euro taxi in you get away with about 8 Euros.
2) Quality of Rooms - Very clean, immaculately decorated, a bit small but that's Paris. Best of all, they are really quiet, the rooms face an interior courtyard and also appear to be really well sound proofed. There is network connections but I didn't try them.
3) Nearby shopping - rather than hit the big malls (Lavayette Galleries, BHV, etc.), try walking around the hotel, there is some good shops with decent prices (shoes, clothing, electronics, etc.).
4) Nearby restaurants - lots of good restaurants around. I recommend you check out TripAdvisor.com and make a reservation, you can get a very good meal for 10-20 Euros apiece and up..
5) Only drawback I had was (minor) and it actually should be an attraction is the hotel has the wordl's smallest elevator. Its more like a space pod but it works well.
