Clean sheets a must!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/10/10
Because my husband and I were only interested in one comfortable night's sleep, we opted for the inexpensive Super 8 we found in the literature from a travel plaza. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful and check-in went smoothly. After a quick inspection the room looked fine but when we turned back the bed, it was obvious that the sheets weren't fresh. They were wrinkled and it was obvious they hadn't been changed. I even found a hair! Gross! The desk clerk's only comment was, "I'm not surprised because our cleaning staff has been working seven days straight." (As if that make it acceptable!) She readily, if nonchalantly, changed the sheets and returned to the front desk with no further comment or apology. After she left, we inspected the room more closely and we concluded that only minimal straightening had been done since the last guests departure. We certainly didn't pay for nor expect the Ritz, but clean sheets should be a given in any reputable motel. Shame on the Richfield, Ohio Super 8.
