Comfort Hotel Mouffetard-Latin, Paris

Small rooms yes but in Europe most hotel rooms are like this. I thought it was the perfect size for the small amount of time we spent in it. The shower was narrow but hey I could get in and take a shower so no complaints there. The room and shower was very clean! They had even done some re-decorating in the rooms while we were there. The breakfast was good. The staff was helpful anytime we need any information or needed a taxi called for us. They even went out of their way to print some documents for us. I saw three of the rooms, I think mine was the best room 46, and they were all about the same size just laid out differently. My room though was very quiet but it was located on the back side of the hotel. I would definately stay there again if I have the pleasure of going to Paris again. It is in a great location. Many many places to eat, 2 blocks from metro, 1 block to grocery store, a great convenient place to stay!!

Single occupancy room - very small - could not completely bend over sink in tiny bathroom - narrow shower. Open wardrobe doors blocked passageway around bed. Night desk clerk extremely rude and uncaring! I guess you get what you pay for!

We stayed here in January. We were apprehensive on arrival, having booked it on the Internet from Australia and worried that everything would be OK. However, it exceeded our expectations and we were treated wonderfully. Ideal for couples. You can step straight out of the door to wonderful Paris. The room was upstairs, small and basic, with a pokey little bathroom that was well-worn, but it had everything you need and was clean. The welcome was warm and we found it ideal as a place to crash between walking Paris, and eating out. Taxis can't drive to the door and you will have to carry/wheel you luggage a 100m or so, so pack accordingly.

This Hotel has the best location in Paris. Right on Rue Mouffettard, a street with many cafes, bakeries, a street market and 2 minutes walk to the Metro on Place Monge. I have been to Paris many times and the last 3 times I have stayed at the Comfort Hotel on Rue Mouffettard. If you are traveling on a budget there is a grocery store 1 block down the street and bakeries where you can buy baguette sandwiches for 2 or 2 euros. There are crepe stands and pizza places and fixed priced restaurants all around within a few blocks. At night just walk outside the hotel and there is a party. Many bars and night clubs in walking distance. My college age daughter got very ill and needed medical attention while we were there and Elizabeth at the front desk arranged a wonderful doctor for us. It's not the Ritz. The rooms are small and the carpeting could be cleaner...but as I said the location can't be beat.
