Crowne Plaza Hamilton, Washington

Pretty from the outside, and nice lobby/restaurant, but I will not be staying here again. Traveled to DC for a conference, and unfortunately my company booked this place. The location was great because the conference center was only a block away, but I would've walked a mile if I had a better hotel. Beds are small, ink stained sheets, and outdated bedskirts and drapes. Bathroom was ok, but could've been better. Every morning my shower was COLD. Other people from the conference who are staying here at similar stories. They only have 4 elevators that hold 8 people, but only 2 worked the whole time I was here. The floor that I stayed on smelled stale and kind of like mold. My phone didn't work so I couldn't call the front desk to complain. People at front desk were ok, but hardly any spoke english and seemed more concerned to finishing up their conversations with other employees before helping you. Seems awfully expensive to have so many compliants. There are MUCH better hotels in DC, so if you are booking a vacation, do not stay here.

While this hotel is both attractive and clean, it has no internal security. There are no security agents, no security cameras and access to the interior guest rooms is completely open to the outside streets. My wife and I had a horrible experience there and would never go back. We wish all guests would know just what their risks are when visiting this hotel.

This was the first time my son and I were alone in a big city. We come from a small southern town. The concierge was the best ever. He upgraded our room to a king bed on the executive level at no charge. We could see the Washington Monument out the window from the bed. We also got free dessert at 14K in the hotel. The staff was pleasant. The room was very clean and beautiful. We were able to pay for part of our tickets to do the hop on hop off tour right there at the hotel. They gave us wonderful directions and tips on seeing all the great sites in the city. It was not too noisy or dirty. I have no complaints about our stay at all. I would stay there again without a second thought.

Very impressed with the amenities, the service, the location and the general state of the hotel. We had just come from three (painful) days at the Hotel Washington and this was a wonderful change.......the rooms were much bigger, the bathroom gave you room to turn around, the extras were delightful (a robe on the bathroom door, MORE than enough towels, four good-sized pillows not two flat pancakes) little extras and toiletries that just made the visit a little better. Located right on a busline that covers the city, we would absolutely return to this hotel again and again.

As a 41 yr old woman I traveled to the city for a nice weekend all about me before my conference up state. The Hamilton was elegant, beautiful, and safe. The overstuffed bed was just what the doctor ordered.

the hotel was great. the room was great. the food was great. the pool was great. the service was great. the lobby was beautiful. i would stay here again.

Could not fault the service provided at the Hamilton Crowne Plaza. Rooms were very clean and well decorated with all the needed amenties available. Concierge provided an excellent service, extremely helpful and enabled us to enjoy a beautiful thnksgiving dinner due to their recommendation. The bar situated within the hotel provides excellent service and a welcoming environment. This hotel is very well located and gives central access to all the local sites, all within easy walking distance. Overall made our trip to washington comfortable and realxing and would definately recommend this hotel to others.

Luxurious, clean, all the amenities - room service was prompt. Offered a clean bathrobe in the bathroom; Exercise room well-equipped. Only problem was in the in-room movies, which were unavailable. Also offered fresh fruit, cookes, newspapers daily

This hotel has nice rooms, a great location,and tastefull amenities. Close to Captol Hill, museums, monuments, can walk to most locations. A great place to stay in the DC area.
