Pioneer Park Inn, Fairbanks

iPad was stolen while I stayed there. Manager would not even answer her phone or reply to my e-mails when I tried contacting her to report it stolen. Room was very dirty. TV did not work. Internet did not work. Pool was not usable. There was no breakfast because they let the construction crew that was working there to remodel eat it all. All the paying customers were stuck with the free burnt coffee. Don't leave any valuables in your room.

i really like this family friendly hotel: the rooms are clean, the food is free, the pool is cool and the hot tub is hot. cable tv, free wireless and computers avalible and in a quiet area of town. as far as dislikes: their back doorlock was broken and at 4 am we had a knock by a prostitute. but this place is no how the worst iv stayed at in fairbanks. most are in high traffic areas that bring in the local perpetually drunk street folk (anywhere downtown), or drug related shootings (motel 8), or right next to strip clubs with their related couples. i find that the military transplants make unfriendly and uncaring employees, kinda like they dont need their jobs or want to be here.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and it was awesome for a comfort inn. The room size was nice, the people were nice, and the place was clean. The pool looked dirty through the window but once we went inside we realized that the bottom of the pool is made out of a certain texture and what looked like sand at the bottom was actually textured cement and it was nice! I wont stay anywhere else in Fairbanks for my next trip!

My wife, three Grand Kids, and Myself stayed at this "Hotel" the weekend following Thanksgiving this year (2007) What we found was far from what we had read about the cleanliness of the rooms and pool. The carpet in our room was dirty, we found cleaning supplies bottles under the bed skirts (spray and wash) and an old, dirty sock! A staff member spent at least an hour standing in a hall way off the lobby chatting with what must have been her boyfriend, and was rude when asked about the items found in the room. The breakfast we found was far from pleasant, or very good for that matter. The entrance into the hotel was icy and covered with snow for most of our Friday-Sunday stay. Overall a Very bad experience . One that we will not repeat, and will discourage others from making

The room was large, the pool was beautiful and the continetal breakfast was great. My sister and I enjoyed everything about our stay, the only thing that was strange was that the employees weren't that friendly. We were both born in Alaska and now reside in Washington. We know that the best things about Alaska, is its wilderness and friendly people. The hotel employees must not be true Alaskans.
