Comfort Inn Michigan City, Michigan City

We stayed at the Comfort Inn September 15 to 18, 2006. It is, conveniently, located minutes from numerous eateries, shopping and the Casino. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. We asked for a non-smoking room, however, the one we were given, although non-smoking, reaped of smoke. I called the front desk and was immediately assigned to another room. The room appeared to be quite clean, however, when I turned the covers back I found that the blanket was soiled (This reduced my rating on cleanliness since I am a stickler for cleanliness and I don't believe that housekeeping could have made the bed without seeing that). I reported it to the front desk and another blanket was brought to the room immediately. The room was cleaned daily. Noise (conversation)is easily heard inside the room from the hallway. Apparently the walls are thin. All-in-all, it was a good experience and we will stay there again in the future.

We were told (on our second day) that the reason our room hadn't been cleaned is because you need to request room service in order to receive it. Found that strange.
