Wish we hadn't

The young man at the desk was kind and friendly, as was the cleaning lady. Linens and bedding were clean. Fortunately there were several franchises nearby to buy breakfast.
Other( ladies) who worked there were usually on the lobby computer, making it nearly impossible for guests to use. They did not seem to be concerned about guests' welfare. Continental breakfast was stale and sorry. (The coffee was good though.) The orange" juice" was a sweetened orange drink. Carpets and furniture were very worn. The room colors were...strange. There was a nasty refrigerator and microwave in our room, but were not plugged in. I had to unplug t.v. and a lamp and move to a closer location so the appliances could be plugged in for use.
We made this trip to visit and care for an elderly parent. There are very few alternate places to stay. The cost was too high for the conditions there, and next trip we will stay elsewhere, even if it means commuting.
