Comfort Inn & Suites Springfield, Springfield

This is a very nice hotel located at the I 44 &I 65 exchange in Springfield, Mo. We were very pleased with the overall appearance of the property as we arrived. (We made reservations in advance). Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was cheerful and helpful to all our requests. The shower had good water pressure, and stayed hot...the temperature did not flucuate, like some hotel showers do. The full hot breakfast was absolutely delicious! (Their coffee was of good quality, as was their food selections). We plan to stay here again, when we return to this city. We were treated like family at this hotel. We were definately impressed!

My husband stayed for a whole week in the comfort inn off battlefield rd and hwy 65, In springfield , mo. He was there for the ice storm. The rooms were dirty and his room had not been cleaned in 2 days. The room did not have any clean towels, the coffe pot had 2 day old coffee in there from they first arrived. nor did they bother to make the beds or dust or vaccum the floors. I had went to visit my husband and the room was a wreck. I asked for the room to be cleaned and the front desk said it was to late for that. My husband worked the night shift. and slept during the day . Valentines Day, the morning of the maids were knocking and knocking on the door. Like I said my husband works the night shift. And it would have been nice for the help not to bother them. The front desk finally brought up 4 towels and nothing else. No wash cloths, hand towels, soap or anything. I think the help need to know when they sleep and when they are awake. today is 2-14-2008. As of this date they are still at the comfort inn. Hopefully coming home soon. thank you.

I stayed here for two nights in Dec. '06. Pros * Friendly employees * Very clean room * Very comfortable bed -- an employee said they were quite new * Although it was farily close to the highway, it was quiet enough. * Although I didn't use it, the exercise room looked like it had a good variety of equipment, and had I stayed longer, I would have used it Cons * Although I was in a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor, my room smelled of stale smoke, my eyes burned and my clothes smelled of smoke, and I got a headache. I am highly allergic to tobacco smoke, so this environment was unacceptable. * The breakfast was marginal at best. The scrambled eggs were awful, the fruit was stale.
