Kings Inn, Huntsville

My family was planing on staying here for four nights. The room looked very nice. We had the one room suite with a full kitchen. The first morning, my husband went to work and my son and I had a relaxing morning watching cartoons. About 10 or 10:30, I began to take a shower. A few minutes later, my son came to tell me that someone was knocking on the door. I told him to yell through the door, not to open it, but tell them his mother couldn't come to the door. He came back into the bathroom very upset and said they were beating on the door. I told him to say in the bathroom with me while I quickly got out (shampoo still in my hair) to find a maid and a very large man (maybe the other 'maid') in my room. I asked them what the **** they were doing and I was calling the police. They replied, "this room needs to be cleaned now". They said that they had heard my son and decided to ignore him. When I questioned how they had gotten BOTH of the door locks open, they replied "with two keys". We immediately checked out. Then, they didn't want to refund our money for the following three nights. My husband had to go back and get it after work. Terrible place! Do not stay here!

We are back again for an extended stay as my husband is in the Military and we are relocating. We are quite happy with our service and experience here. I have been reading some of the other comments and I must say, they sound rather ridiculous. We have never had any of the problems some have claimed to have. Our suite is clean, the service is daily and the office staff is helpful. They all are quite accomodating. Our internet went out briefly and we were told it would be up and running asap and it was within hours. Things happen, it's anywhere. I almost don't want to leave when our home is ready, this feels like home to us now! :)

Likes: Price - good, but you get what you pay for Location - close to shopping and restaurants Dislikes: Guests/noise -Guests urinating from the front doors of their rooms and partying in the parking lot until 4AM.

We came to Huntsville for the first time and stayed for 10 days. Great place to stay when in town. We rented a suite, was very clean and the service was great. Very quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

We were to be there with a wedding party. The reservations had been held for 10 rooms. I called to have one put in my name and gave them my credit card. I called three days in advance and confirmed that I did have a room. Immediately, I called back and asked if I could come a day early. They said that would be fine. When I arrived the man at the desk had no idea who I was or where the wedding party block of rooms were. I finally got a room and asked for extra pillows. None were available. All was fine until bedtime. We pulled the covers back and found questionable stains on the top sheet. I asked for clean sheets to change. None were available. There were also no extra towels. We were offered a suite. When we went to see it, it had not been cleaned. We went to three other rooms - two of them were roach infested. Not just a few bugs but LOTS and LOTS of them. One rushed my daughter when she opened the kitchen cabinet. Needless to say, we left that night. I didn't have any trouble getting them to release my credit card charges and everyone was apologetic. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The better quality rooms have a microwave and fridge as well as a coffee maker and eating utelsils. It was noted that there were many residents that had been living in the hotel for more than 6 months(contractor/workers) Cable TV and telephones were in the rooms Free Fax services both in and out were available. Frontdesk services are available 24/7 Free local phone service The was also free donuts and coffee service available in the morning w/free coffee services available most anytime in the Front Desk Area Fire Extinguishers are available Ice machines are available Extra blankets and bedding are available Shopping malls and other services are close by Maid services are normally in the morning starting at 8:00 AM Candy and soda machines are available also

This motel advertises high speed internet, but it does not work much of the time. I complained about it and was told that it would not be fixed and I should move elsewhere if internet was important. The rooms are very dirty and run-down. If you are a long-term resident, it takes about 2 weeks for simple repairs to be done. The staff claims that things are improving, but their actions (or lack of) do not reflect any goal towards improvement.

This was our third year staying at the King's Inn while visiting family in Huntsville. Stay the night of July 7, 2007. We were sorely disappointed this year. The room was dirty, frig wasn't working, fixtures in the room were falling apart, everything looked quite shoddy. We won't go back. I'm right now in the process of looking for another alternative.

Where do I start...... First....the staff has absolutely no knowledge of check in or check out times. When I had a problem with checking in, alls they could say is "sorry, that was a new girl who gave you the wrong information". Second....COCKROACHES!!!!! Third.......We were actually accused of stealing their coffee pot!!!! Trust me, I don't need their coffee pot. I don't even drink coffee!!! Do yourself a favor. The prices are good, but you definetely get what you pay for!!! Go down the street and pay a few dollars more and enjoy your stay elsewhere.

Have stayed at Kings Inn in the past. Always clean. Not this past weekend. When we walked in the door we could see that the room had not been vacummed. Baseboards in bathrooms were gross. Don't think we'll stay there again.
