We gave it the Family Reunion Test and it passed.
We love Ashmore Inns. Every summer for the past 6 years or so we've held our family reunions there. Often as many as 40 of us will converge on this hotel at once. There have been a few "What Was That???" moments, but not many, and overall the staff has been consistently nice and helpful, the rooms have been clean and spacious, and the meeting rooms have been easily bookable. Lots of us in our family are Old Folks now but we troop up and down the stairs, slowly or not, and just deal with it. That's the West Texas way, and we're good West Texas stock. Or we request a handicap room. (That's the Old West Texas way.)
If I could make any suggestions they would be that 1) a piano be available as part of the meeting room reservation, and 2) that the hotel accept small pets, but those are the only changes I can see that would enhance my familys' visits.
Thank you, Ashmore Inn, for all that you do year after year to make our family gathering memories pleasant.
