Aspen Winds, Estes Park

Aspen Winds is truly a bit of heaven in the Rockies. The facility is comfortable, very clean and the managers are amazing! If you're looking for a great get-away in God's country, go to the Rockies and stay at Aspen Winds. It's just down the road from Rocky Mountain National Park.

I chose Aspen Winds for my wife and I to stay on our annual trip to the Rockies this year because all of the reviews were great. I was not disappointed. The people at Aspen Winds were extremely friendly, and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The price was a little more that I expected, but since we booked only a month ahead, at the busiest time of the summer season, if was competetively priced. Aspen Winds is located streamside, like the info said, on the Fall River and the river view is gorgeous! The place was quiet. My wife loved the hummingbirds that seemed to concentrate around the Fall River. We stayed a full week, but had to change from a Spa Suite to a 1-bedroom suite mid-week because we did not book far enough in advance. On the day of the move, we got everything together, and the staff moved our things while we were enjoying our vacation. Both the Spa Suite and the 1-bedroom looked like they had just been remodeled, and were very clean. This is the first review I've ever written. But, I thought Aspen Winds deserves another good review. We loved our time there!

This was a wonderful getaway in Estes Park. It was off the main drag so we felt like we were nestled in the mountains but we were actually still a close distance to shops and restaurants. The room was spacious and warm and the scenery was gorgeous.

Spacious rooms, clean, friendly owner/staff, beautiful spot.Loved the gas fireplace, easy to get to. I would definitely return here; kitchen well stocked, free phone, good wireless internet, listen to the river!

We've stayed in Estes Park three times and Aspen Winds was the best by far. A lovely, peaceful place and the owners were awesome. We'll return again and again--and only to Aspen Winds. TKS for a great time! Firestone, Colorado

The staff (Dott) was very friendly and courteous providing suggestions and offering plenty of information. Being family owned creates a great atmosphere and a very caring attitude. The room was spotless. The kitchenette had appropriate furnishings. The Jacuzzi is amazing. The bed was comfortable. TV with DVD and VHS player for evening relaxing. Great get away from society. Perfect for a honeymoon. Or just a great way to relax after hiking in very nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. Great for couples - please don't bring kids to such a nice quiet and relaxing place! Location is wonderful since its away from town and right on a beautiful river. You only hear the river and hear no traffic, no sirens, no car alarms, no bosses screaming! Price is right and it is a great value given all that you get. I cannot wait to go back. My knock against the place would be that the internet is inconsistent and not very fast even when it is working. Pros far outweigh the cons.

We so enjoyed our stay here. The room was wonderful, the owners extremely accomodating, and the view divine. We highly recommend Aspen Winds!

We stayed at Aspen Winds in July of 2006 and we enjoyed it very much. The owner was the friendliest host and the lodging was clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend it

Had a very enjoyable stay at Aspen Winds during the fall 0f 2006. We'd certainly consider staying there again if we're in the area. PROS: - Very friendly staff. - Comfortably large bedrooms. Jet tub in bath. Large living area with gas fireplace. - Good view from room by Estes Park standards. (see below) - Porch overlooking Fall River - Kitchenette with ice box and microwave. Electric skillet, toaster and tableware provided. - Short drive to the Fall River park entrance. CONS: - Rooms look out onto Fall River as advertised. Unfortunately US34 is right across the river. Hotel is pretty well screened from the highway but car headlights can be a tiny bit distracting at night. Not a high-traffic road in the evening however. - Rooms are pretty pricey at roughly 2X the going rate of other "good" places in Estes Park. Unless you're A) planning to spend a lot of time in the room, B) looking for a romantic getaway or C) the type who just likes to live upscale, you can find much more economical lodging in town.

Beautiful Location right on the Fall River! Close to town and close to the gates of Rocky Mountain National Park. Nestled right in the mountains! It was unbelievable. Elk came right up to our back porch every afternoon. It was a wonderful experience! The suite was a little pricy, but it is worth it!
