Don't Stay Here!
Rude & unhelpful reception staff!
We took booked two nights accommodation, to include the morning of arrival, to ensure that we could go straight to bed. Despite this, when we arrived at 7.00am, our booking had been cancelled as a no show. Our booking included breakfast on both days but we were refused breakfast on either day at a time we could use it. On arrival, we found the reception staff unhelpful and patronising, as well as seeming congenitally incapable of saying Hello or Good morning or even of smiling.
In our club room (the only one available when we booked) there was no milk/creamer with the coffee making facility, the air conditioning was very noisy and one bedside light worked only when the main room light was also switched on. We never managed to obtain hot water only lukewarm. We found the beds uncomfortable.
We returned three weeks later; again reception staff were unhelpful and still did not manage a Good evening or Welcome to Radisson. There were two receptionists. One was on the phone and the other was doing paperwork. Neither acknowledged our presence. We had to wait for the one to finish her phone call before we received any attention; the other ones paperwork was obviously far too important to be interrupted for something as trivial as guests.
This time we got breakfast. It is only unfortunate that, despite our being the only people in the caf at 4.00am, it still took so long to prepare an omelette that, by the time it eventually arrived, we did not have time to eat it (we had a plane to catch something with which one would have hoped an airport hotel would have been familiar!).
Even though this is an airport hotel, at US$200 per night we feel that we were entitled to expect better standards especially from a Radisson. We paid US$600 for a total of 28 hours booked into the hotel (20 hours over the first two nights for five of which we were out on a city tour - and eight on the third). We do not consider we received good value for money and certainly did not enjoy either stay not that anyone at the hotel asked. I did list many of these points on a customer response form after our first stay, and gave the date we were returning. As nothing was said on our second visit, we can only assume that no one could be bothered to read it or that, if they did read it, they dont give a damn.
