Comfort Inn Greensboro, Greensboro

I travel a lot for work. I logged many years in hotels all around the world. This hotel is the worst on several different fronts. Our company chose this as the preferred hotel for this area. We are now changing this policy due to many of our employees complaints. pros: - Easy highway access - Good restaurants nearby - Cheap (you get what you pay for or maybe less) cons: - WARNING - the bed sheets are rarely changed during a stay, even if requested. They also do not change them between guests. I have had several stays with hairs in my sheets on the first night of a stay. - Toilets do not flush. After a long day this is not what you want to deal with. I have never been in a hotel that the toilet didn’t do its job. - Drugs and hookers - frequently the guests here smoke weed and invite hookers to their rooms. - High school students - sometimes you luck out and the several hundred students that stay here when on team events are quiet for the night. Most of the time, expect to hear a lot of noise in the hallways. - The high schoolers also present issues getting the breakfast. - The breakfast is also not great. - Musty smell. Someone else reviewed this fact also. Not sure what it is but sometimes smells like cat urine. Overall I think there are a lot better deals to pick from in this area. I am in this hotel as I write this review and will not be staying here again. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was clean, but the carpet was very musty. It was as thought they never shampoo the carpet. They just vacumn. Also, on the second day only one bed was made up. I asked the maid why did they not make up the second bed. Her response was if you leave anything on the bed they cannot remove it. I only left my blanket on the bed. This policy was not stated to me at check in. I guess you get what you pay for. It was the first time I stayed at a 2 star hotle. Never will I again at least not Best Western.

Came in after a long day and they were very friendly during registration. Got a rate lower than their neighbor hotel where I stayed the week before. Nice, clean, comfortable, quiet, and friendly hotel. When everything goes good at the place I stay it makes being away from home not so bad. They did everything to make me feel I was their priority and not there to bother them. When I asked for directions they explained them and also printed out the directions for me instantly. Many of the nicer hotels are so similar in offers but what is always different is their service and attitude. See ya again next year.
