Teton Gables Motel, Jackson

This was the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed in. We spent the night after the Dylan concert at Snow King. They charged us $140 for the night (Most rooms were sold out. We found one room at the Buffalo Inn for $500 - no lie. Their rooms are usually $100 or so. Another place was charging $200, and I would've gladly stayed paid the extra money.) Why? Shall we start with the yellowed toenails on the carpet, the unlockable window or the brown smudges on the inside of the bathroom door? We didn't dare walk on the rug or the tile in the bathroom without shoes. The towels smelled so musty, we didn't even shower. There are plenty of fairly cheap hotels in Jackson, Wyo. Stay at one of them, not this dump.

what i liked was nothing. dead bolt on door did work.fan on ac made alot of noise. bed was not comfortable.waitress was eating off of customs plate. was way over priced.safety hazard on top hand rail post.

I left a pair of shoes in the room and called one day later. The shoes were aparently never found even though I know that's where I left them. I tried calling and having the owner give me a call like 7 times and never received a return call. Numerous hotel staff said they would call me with information and I never heard anything back out of them either. I've accidently left things at other hotels and actually had them call me to ask if I want them to send it to me. I'm dissapointed in this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. (although it was clean!)

Walls are very thin -- I could hear the kids next door! Also, our door did not shut very easily. I had to slam the door to get it to secure properly. We returned to the motel after a day in Jackson to find it was not fully secured (after the room had been cleaned by housekeeping). Thankfully nothing was taken. We had taken all our valuables with us for the day. This is a relatively easy repair. Too bad it wasn't in better shape. Also the hot water would suddenly burst out after running for awhile -- I nearly was burned a few times. I liked the location -- Right at the turn off for Hwy 22. The motel was clean. I LOVED Cutty's though! We had breakfast and enjoyed the service & the food was wonderful too. Next time I'll spend an additional $40-50 to get a different place though.

This was a very good value motel close to town and the ski areas. When you consider what other motels charge in the area, we were very happy to get in. Everything was very clean. There is a nice restaurant and bar right on the premises, and the service staff was very helpful. I liked the fact that they allowed pets, and I saw a horse trailer in the parking lot as well, so I think they are very animal friendly. We have stayed here several times when we come to Jackson, and it is a winner.

They take pets. There is a restaurant and bar there that was great fun. Its not right in the middle of town but its right across the street from a big supermarket - very convenient.

Nothing fancy at this motel, but it's a clean, comfortable place to stay. The desk staff was friendly and helpful and knowledgable about the area. We will go back if we ever get the chance.
