Warning: Bed Bugs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/23/09
Service/hospitality was fine, free internet on second floor is very spotty. Recent renovations to the rooms look great so I decided to book hotel based on reviews. Renovations do look great. However, I found the rooms very muggy/musty even with air conditioning. I kind of expected maybe not to sleep too well because it was an unfamiliar place. However, when I woke up the next morning I remember waking up feeling like I was getting bitten on my head. On the bedsheet, I found a small bloodmark and several black dots. Waving it off as just three bug/mosquito bites, I didn't mention anything. However, a week later yesterday morning, I woke up covered in over 75 bites all over my arms and neck and I have a strong feeling that I picked up bed bugs from this hotel after reading about bed bugs online. It is so bad I've had to leave my house in fear I will be bit like crazy again. I fogged my house and might be calling pest control asap. Heed this warning. I plan to call this hotel tomorrow.

Happy New Year at BW
By Tracie, 2/13/07
My Kids and my boyfriend and his daughter and Myself stayed here for New Years Eve weekend.(I'm from New Jersey) I can not tell you the enjoyment we had. They have a in door swimming pool The two little ones stayed in there most of the time. When can you go swimming in December and enjoy yourself . The housekeepers were great .they were so nice to us, if we didn't have it they made sure we got it. We made a pretty amount of noise ringing in the new year and no one cared.I would suggest this hotel to out of towners.Thank you BW for a wonderful time. Tracie G.Seeds

Yes, stay here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/5/06
Quiet, clean, roomy, comfortable, aesthetically appealing, great breakfast, one of the best places to stay for the discerning business traveler who wants comfort, convenience and value; much better than most of this type of hotel.

look somewhere else
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/30/06
I suppose that one would normally rate a hotel for its room/rate aspects, but in todays competitive world (in my opinion), all other hotel amenities play a substantial role. My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel during a trip through Roanoke. The AARP rates were competetive and the employees were friendly, plus the rooms were very satisfactory. In spite of the hotel modest size (it has 84 rooms) the breakfast area was a joke!! It is so undersized and the seating (about 4-5 small tables crammed into a tiny area)is very inadequate when compared to the room quanity. We waited half an hour (hoping that the crowded area would improve) trying to just get into the tiny serving aisle to get a box of cereal and milk. Finally when I did get there the cereal container was empty! After waiting about 5 minutes for more cereal (which never came) I settled for a cup of orange juice. Even that was terrible; it was warm and very watered down. We finally decided to opt for another source of breakfast and left the hotel area in search of a breakfast serving restaurant.I have frequently travelled during my lifetime and with unbiased honesty, this hotel has the worst breakfast area that I have ever encountered. One other remark----I tried two different ice machines the night of our stay---and neither worked. This hotel is located in an "upscale" area and should offer better. I would recommend "to look somewhere else" if you care about the topics that I mentioned.

The people were so friendly, it wasn't that expensive... Everything was really clean... and best of all they give you rubber duckies in the bathroom

Loved our stay here!
By Traci, 1/26/06
My family of 5 have stayed here twice for a winter weekend getaway. We loved it. The heated indoor pool was our main attraction. My 3 kids did not want to get out of the pool. And the complimentary breakfast is the best we have ever had-not just bagels and coffee-but real food. It was a tremendous value. The staff are very helpful-we got a crib and extra pillow with no problem. Great location-near several restaurants, the mall and WALMART and TARGET!

So nice we are coming back!
By George from Norge, 9/19/05
We were there last March and enjoyed our "weekend away". The wireless internet service is very important to me, and the BREAKFAST was excellent each day. The place was well kept, neat and clean. The staff was very nice, and we are coming back in October when more things are open in the area, just for another "get away weekend".

Room walls too thin!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/26/05
The room walls were too thin allowing whatever goes on in the next room to be heard...Comfort INN nearby seems to suffer similiarly (I have stayed once at each place.) I would hope newer hotels would think of build quality before hand, but it seems these did not. Some must be better then others as far as sound proofing, but I have not been in the area enough to recommend anything.

Clean and quiet
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/21/04
Clean, quiet. Bed was comfortable, TV remote worked sporadically. Near many restuarants and a mall. Easy access to highway(s) and 1 mile from the airport.
