i wouldn't stay here again

the hotel was full of smoke. the staff was rude. the breakfest was okay. there was bed bugs too. i wouldn't stay here again.

The WORST

This is the worst place I've ever stayed. It was the back-up spot for our family reunion so I saw a lot of the rooms. There is no consistency in the rooms. Some have all the amenities if you call them amenities (a refrigerator). Some are bare-bones. The showers are like tiny closets. There is no bathtub -- great when you have a small child. Management is severely lacking in customer service skills. There are signs implying that everyone who stays there steals the towels and bedding. Like you want to take home the SLEEP INN bedding! Continental breakfast was joke!

Not Fancy But Just Fine

My family and I have stayed at the Sleep Inn a few times when we visited U of I and found it to be very acceptable-- nothing fancy but clean and comfortable-- just fine for the price. I'll stay there again.

Ask them to hold the bugs

Stayed here on moms day weekend. College daughter slept on a cot in the room. She ended up being treated at the univ medical center for bed bug bites and had to clean everything in her dorm room. Hotel has not said that they have taken any steps to remedy for future guests.

Joe was a life saver!!!

I have had the pleasure of staying at this particular Sleep Inn for the past 4 years as I enjoyed football games, mom's weekends,special holidays and graduation with my daughter. With each stay I always felt as I was one of the family and was welcomed with every return visit. The one particular stay that stands out in my mind was several years ago when my daughter dropped a contact lens down the sink late one evening. With one call to the front desk Joe graciously came to our room and took the sink apart to rescue the lost contact lens. Thanks Joe for saving the day!!!

Clean Rooms

This was by no means a fancy hotel, but it was clean and great for short trips. It was very close to U of I, less than 5 minutes away. The staff was helpful and friendly. The only complaint I had was that my room was near a Maintenance Closet and it was kind of loud from time to time. Overall, I would recommend this to people who are looking for a clean place to stay for a reasonable price.
