No problems with staff or amenitities
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/18/11
We have stayed at the Casablanca for 3 years now. We experienced no rudeness or surly behavior on the part of the staff. The rooms were clean. No bed bugs or cockroaches on our trips. One time the air conditioner didn't work but we were quickly given another room. The coffee shop has great food at great prices and the spa is excellent. I'm sure the folks that complained feel that their concerns are justified. I just wonder how they acted. Treating others with respect and kindness is the best way to enjoy a good time no matter where you are.

We will never go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/15/11
There was only the fine dining restaurant we liked and then thk at the bar having to beat cannot be called fine dining when there are a bunch of little kids screaming and a table of men with to much to drink and carrying on and a drunk at the bar being removed by security to a wheel chair cause he couldn't walk. Food was excellent. It was nothing like the Oasis use to be. The rooms are way small and the beds need need new mattresses. Check in was terrible. We ask for two rooms close and because we did that they held us off from checking in until 5 minutes to 4. We were there eary as we were meeting family from Salt Lake and we drove from El Centro, Ca. The weather was terrible so what could you do only sit and wait 3 hours. The gift shop is lousy. Machines are very tight. We could of sat and got drunk like the ones that came to the fine dining and made an ass of thereselves. We ask our waiter if he could ask them to quiet down and he said he would talk to the Hostess. They did nothing. If anyone reads this and your going to Mesquite stay at the Eureka. WONDERFUL

INFESTED WITH BED BUGS!!!!! STAYED IN ROOM 1012
By Jennifer, 1/27/11
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend getaway. I am 13 weeks preganant and we wanted to go somewhere close to home. To get to the point we woke the next mornong Saturday January 22nd and opened the curtains to find bed bugs crawling everyhwere. We called for a hotel manager as we wanted to check out and get a refund. Convienently no manager was on duty on a saturday afternoon??? Finally, a housekeeping manager came to our room and gave us trash bags to place our clothes in. The luggage had to be thrown away and we also decided to get rid of our clothes. Bed bugs will live in anything that has your scent and will lay eggs in your belongings. Once your home is infested it can cause thousands of dollars ot rid your home of these diseae ridden pests. To make a long story short we have yet to recieve any phone call or email from anyone at this hotel to replace our things and to send a pest control company to our home. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR GUESTS or somebody would have called. I am doing everyhitng to make sure people are aware of this hotels infestation as nobody sould be put at risk....

Please, Let's Keep it in Perspective Here!!
By FT, 8/17/10
I have been going to the Casablanca for more than 10 years now and am a member of the vacation club. In considering the Casa, one must remember that it is not a 5-star Vegas hotel but a 3-star Mesquite hotel with staff that treat it more as an "Inn" than a "Hotel". Friendly, courteous (for the most part) and decent people working a few hours a week in their retirement years (most often). The hotel reception staff could use more customer service training that is true. But overall, the lack of polish isn't rudeness as much as it is lack of finish. The golf course, pool and spa staff are fantastic. The casino staff are good but perhaps not as flashy or sexy as Vegas staff. Katherine's restaurant is as good as any 5-star Vegas resto, at half or 1/3 the price. Oasis steak house is also very good. The Casa's buffet is very decent food for the price as is the buffet at the Oasis. The Purple Fez (in Casa) could use a facelift both in decor and staff. Remember, if you want to relax, have some fun, play good golf courses and NOT spend a King's ransom, Mesquite and the Casablanca are for you. If you expect to be waited on hand and foot, go to Vegas and pay the price.

Casa Cockroach
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/09
Our stay started with a snarky front desk employee, a cockroach running across the bathroom floor (know it was a cockroach cause we took it to the front desk to ask what it was -- killed three in our one night stay), the staff (cocktail waitresses, craps table employees) were very rude. The housekeeping staff, security people and morning staff in the kitchen were really great. It is an adventure to stay here..won't do it again.

LOVE MESQUITE AND CASABLANCA
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/23/09
My husband and I go to Mesquite at least 2x a year-I would only stay at Casablanca-it is a great value-a nice hotel and casino in a beautiful setting! You can't beat their package deals or room rates-come on $49/59 a night? The drive from Las Vegas is gorgeous, we have stopped in little towns along the way and scouted out the local restaurants many times. There are several fantastic golf courses nearby, again the views are breathtaking and we always spend time by the great pool area. I have also used the spa and even had my hair cut there! Our room has always been clean and comfortable, no complaints. I suppose anyone can have a bad experience anywhere but since we have stayed at Casablanca at least a dozen times in the last few years I say it is a wonderful travel bargain!

We go every year, great place and awesome pool!
By Joyce, 9/22/08
We stay there every year, and love the place. They have a great pool with a water slide and waterfall. Everyone is very friendly, and never had a bad meal there. For the people that complain, they should try some of the other casinos, and they'd find out that it's the best.

aok but....
By desert dame, 8/11/08
We stay here and always have a good time BUT the front desk needs more training. We tried several times to get thru to them (nothing major) on the phone from our room - to no avail. Also, rooms weren't ready :( Housekeeping staff is AWESOME tho and were friendly and accomodating. Starbucks people need a heads up for the early a.m. shift as they are grumpy!! It's sad when service people dont realize that they represent the resort! SMILE!
