Towne House Motor Lodge West, Clarksburg

My husband stayed at this place and we are trying to get our money back. The staff is very rude and the rooms are nasty,the room has no running hot water, my husband has bits all over his body from the (bed bugs) this is a known infestation. Yet they well gladly rent you this room. the manager told him that they occasionally close the room so the bugs don't have anyone to feed on. I can't believe this place is still in business. I will report them to the health department.

After checking in and inspecting the room, we felt we made a mistake. Our neighbour looked like a real hillbilly, sitting on his pickup truck out front, with flat tires and gave us the creeps. That made us decide to not stay the bight. The room was dark, so we couldn't see how dirty it was. We found that out later: there were flees all over! We got some on our clothes and got bitten by them all over. Thank God we didn't bring our luggage in, so we could do some damage control. The man at the desk was very friendly, though. He had only worked there for a couple of weeks. It was no problem refunding us.

Only $37 for the night but...better to spend a little more elsewhere. Bathrooms were not clean, shower would not turn off, hot water lasted two minutes. Half the lights didnt work, no remotes for tv, beds are uncomfortable as are the pillows. Walls are very thin, people on one side had dogs that barked all night. On the other side someone was coughing and sounded like they were IN our room. TV's on both sides kept us awake all night. It does not appear that any remodeling and only minimal repairs have been done since the 70's. We are talking old wood paneling, torn up, stained and cigarette burned carpets, soft spots in the floor on second floor. One place had obviously just had the carpet pulled back and a peice of wood thrown over the weak spot then put the carpet back over it. Outside the second floor walkway has weak spots in the floor, as well as dangerous trip hazards at the top of the metal stairs. Cigarette burns in the bedspreads and counters. Not real close to any conveniences, at least a 5 mile drive.No wireless or internet. Night desk guy had to come in and check room because somebody reported the tv stolen out of their room when they checked in. (Shouldn't housekeeping notice this if they are coming in to clean before new guests come? Only good things I can say is the staff was friendly, I did not see any bugs and the rates were cheap.

It was the only hotel with rooms, now I know why. There was a pubic hair in the bath tub, toothpast on the counter (mine was white) the carpet was sticky, half the lights would not work, and when I cleaned out the bathtub to take a shower the shower head came off and hit me in the face. I told the woman at the front desk and she went up and put it back on and then told me there was now way it could have come off. Yeah if it was on right to begain with. When I ask the womans name the manager finally spoke up and told me his. DON"T GO THERE IT IS A DUMP!!!!! The night clerk was nice, the only redeeming point of the motel

This place was the best deal I have ever found. For 33 dollers, it was well worth it. The furniture in my room was new as well as the carpet. The best deal in town if you're looking for a good night's sleep. The staff was very helpful with directions and assisted all of my needs.
