I like hotel was clean, the housekeepers were the nicest ever and did there job excellent. The bed was so neatly made I was able to play solitaire on it before sleeping!

not group friendly

When attempting to book a group, the manager was less then friendly and tried to charge our group almost $30 more per room then the price on the internet. After booking and prepaying the rooms on the internet, she called me and made it clear she would make the groups visit less then comfortable. I was informed this location was a franchise and did not need to respond to the customer service department of Holiday Inn Express. After complaining to CVB and Corporate she sent a contract requesting a higher rate then I had already booked and confirmed and asked for a $300.00 deposit even though the hotel rooms were paid in full!!! Do not take your groups to this property, try Hampton Inn, Ramada or Best Western when in this area.

The only thing bad thing was the Wireless was down in lobby and that the deluxe breakfast was kind of misleading. The hot breakfast advertised on the website made it seem as if it was going to be a number of different hot items. The first two days, it was only sausage and gravy that tasted like flour. Then the last day there was cheese omlets. Those were very good.

Never again will I stay here. Terrible customer service. The hotel is not very good and the staff is terrible. I will find a different hotel to stay at.

The Holiday Inn Express was a clean place to stay. But way to many children just running around all the time. They seem to run out of breakfast food very early. Unable to use the pool both times we stayed there.

We can't wait to go back!

Talk about a top-notch operation. This hotel is clean, the staff goes over and beyond to satisfy your every request. Directions, restaurants, experiences of a life-time. Our children loved coming to the hotel room after being gone, the housekeeper arranged their stuffed animals to listen to the cd player, they were taking a nap, etc. My hat's off to all of the employees and management at this hotel. The cookies are great too.

A great place to stay!

The weekend we spent here was probably the most relaxing weekend we've ever had! The rooms were wonderful - clean, adequate size, and ours had an amazing 4x6 whirlpool that we practically lived in! The pool had late hours for adults only, which made for a very peaceful swim. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. The location was excellent (just a hop, skip and a jump from the International Bridge and a short drive from downtown Sault Ste. Marie). Price was a little high at the time (I see the prices have dropped a bit since then) but it was still well worth the money!
