Super 8 Ruston La, Ruston

Stayed there for freshman orientation for Tech - did not realize hotels were all full in Ruston so parents make reservations early somewhere else. Room smelled horrible, holes the size of coffee cups in linens, grease and ink stains on towels, lots of dead bugs in light fixture over sink, frig and clock did not work, fire alarms went off at 5:50 am and then again that night at 11:50, but was awaken by the construction crew staying there anyway. Lots of noise since all rooms face outside. However, it was cheap, very cheap.

BY FAR THE WORST HOTEL IN RUSTON. THE SHEETS WERE DIRTY, BUGS, FRIG DID NOT WORK, MICROWAVE WAS DIRTY, CARPET ON THE FLOOR WAS OLD AND DIRTY, AND IT SMELLS. I COULD GO ON AND ON. I WOULD RATHER SLEEP IN MY CAR.DO NOT STAY HERE, YOU WILL BE SORRY. I AM FROM RUSTON AND I LIKE TO HOME AND VISIT BUT IF THERE IS NOTHING ELSE AVALIABLE I WILL JUST STAY IN WEST MONROE......PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY UNTIL THEY TEAR THE HOTEL DOWN AND START OVER......MANAGEMENT SUCKS!

I have stayed at this hotel over the past 5 years but today, April 1, 2008, I must say it will no longer be a place I visit. First of all, the employees park their cars in front of the office door. Hard to just pull in and register. Parking is very difficult and even worse when they allow construction crews and other companies to park their large trucks across MANY parking spaces blocking others from access to the rooms. The rooms have also deteriorated. The iron leaks water, the ironing board is completely broken, won't stand up, wash rags have stains, refrigerator stays unplugged so don't bring in frozen or cold food. The cable channel line up isn't correct. The owners are of indian descent, no surprise there, and are difficult to understand. For a Super 8 it sure does leave a black mark on the name. I won't be back.
