We'll be back!

What a find! A beautifully restored victorian furnished with magnificent antiques, and decorated with wonderful pieces of art and some of the most unique crafts I have ever seen. The house is warm and welcoming and talk about Southern Hospitality...we were greeted by Alan Inabinet whose virginia accent and demeanor kinda reminded me of Ashley Wilkes (OK, so I am a romantic). Our bedroom was breath taking!!! A four poster canopy bed, our own bathroom, cable TV and a fireplace!
Outside is one of the cutest gardens with birds, and bunnies hopping around the trellis's of roses and flowers. There is a pond with a gentle waterfall, water lillies and big ole gold fish. I could easily spend hours out there...and I did, every chance I got. But wait! There's more...Sandy, the other Inn Keeper, raises fancy chickens that LAY EGGS! We ate freshly laid chicken eggs for breakfast...how cool is that!!! Speaking of breakfast, Sandy is a culinary school graduate. She made us a breakfast that I only read about in gourmet magazines. We were served on gorgeous china from england and depression glass (had no idea what that was until then). The attention to detail made our experience that much better.
We recommend this to anyone who is looking for a place to escape and or relax that is beautiful, close to the DC metro area while giving you the impression of being "far away from it all", extremely reasonable and with lots to do...or not.
