Super 8 Eastland Tx, Eastland

Pros...Easy access to I-20. Very nice room with 2 sources of free internet. Fridge and microwave in room. Plenty of space, and everything worked fine. Breakfast in the morning. Outdoor pool. Real close to fast food restaurants and gas stations. Cons....Motel seems to be crawling with Black Widow Spiders! Management simply didn't care about this, and told me "This is Texas!" I killed one spider outside my door and saw another dead one underneath a chair at the pool. Needless to say, I didn't sleep much and was very nervous. Paid a little more than the billboard sign advertised. Overall it is a nice place, but until they get control of the pest problem and spray more than once a month (that's what I was told), I don't see me using them when I travel again.

For the price, the quality was good. It was clean, the contental breakfast (cereal, danish and waffles) was good, the pool was heavenly from the Texas heat. Ask for a room in the back to avoid the noise from the highway.

We were pleasantly surprised and delighted at the friendliness of the staff, their courtesy and willingness to aid us in whatever they were able. It was such remarkably good service and sparkling clean. The managers are outstanding representative of the entire motel chain! As a result it is one of our favored places to stop. We recommend this Super 8 to our friends, family, and anybody else.
