We are not going back to Disney!
It was the cheapest resort in Disney for a family of four.
Customer service at the front desk was a real problem. For instance, I was appalled when observing front-desk manager ignoring front-desk clerk pleas for help with my reservation. After 30 minutes, finally someone else in the front-desk area was able to fix the problem. Also, in several occasions, my wife tried talking to a manager relating other issues; however, she never got to talk to a person face to face. Eventually she received phone messages, but by then some issues were resolved, or quite frankly, it was too late!
Pricing at the local restaurant was outrageous, i.e., an average of $50.00 per meal for my family, and the food was not that great. Also, if you order a pizza, be ready to pay a 15% gratuity plus a delivery charge.
The rooms were very small and have no kitchens (basic room w/ two twin size beds). Also, if you want a fridge in your room, you have to pay approximately $10.00 per night for a very small refrigerator.
Riding the buses to several parks was very nice. We did not have to wait too long when going to the parks. However, we experienced up to 20 minutes wait when coming from MGM Studios.
In the busiest times like Christmas week, Extra Magic hours may vary. Also, one of the water parks was closed. Thus, check with hotel or travel agent before making reservations.
In a nut shell, this hotel will give you a nice/clean place to crash for the night. However, if you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy some hotel amenities, you are getting what you paid for! More importantly, customer service is nonexistent.
We are not going back to Disney! I never paid so much money for standing in lines for over 60 minutes, and everything is really expensive.
