Seahaven Beach Hotel, Panama City Beach

I came home with all the symptoms of bed bugs. My friend and I went on vacation together and we both have the same similar rash and bumps consistent with bed bug bites. I am grossed out. So far there is no sign that they traveled home with me, which just means they are still there.

We were looking for a beachfront lodging that was reasonably priced and within our small budget. At $79/night, directly on the beach, this was great. Yes, it's not perfect or a 5-Star hotel, but you get what you pay for...literally. The King suite we stayed in could have been put together differently (the bed in the family room/kitchen area and couch in walk-in/Florida room) but it's not a big deal. There was no smell of mildew in the vicinity of our room, there were no roaches or bugs and the kitchen was clean. We stayed on the 6th floor and loved it. It was close by to all of our favorite restaurants we loved the most too. I would return again if we arrived with a low budget needing some beach-love.

no free breakfast, dirty,dirty,dirty. nothing works right. doors are rigged,plumbing problems, the staff had to have taken a course in rudeness. that kind of treatment had to be taught. not third world, fourth is more like it.

Have stayed here twice and never had a problem. Located within walking distance of Pier Park, Sharky's and almost everything else.

We like the convenience, but dislike the fact that they no longer provide a continental breakfast. The one they used to have was wonderful!! AND what can you expect for what you pay? We had two comfortable beds, kitchenette, and a workable bathroom... Also a private balcony. Our parking space was convenient to the room and so was the pool/beach.. Didn't have to use an elevator like we would have in a large hotel/motel.. Close to the beach. We stayed three nights, and found the staff to be friendly & accomadating. The things we like to do were closeby. We missed the continential breakfast this time, and when they ran out of breakfast bars our first day there, they did not get anymore for the entire time. They did have coffee and 4 different kinds of juice which was available around the clock. We will stay there again for convenience sake.. we like the smaller places and Seahaven seems to be the best one left on the beach.. AND the pool was clean and very nice as well. We REALLY enjoyed it this time.

Very deceiving, what you see on the pictures and what reality is when you get there. Starting for the office and desk clerk dirty and unfriendly, front of the place extremely dirty and smelly, that place have not see a goo clean in years. One of my daughters and I when to our suite, nad oh surprise what we saw outside was nothing compare with the way it look inside it was horrible, dirty carpet, dirty bathroom, dirty kitchen, mildew smell, mildew all around the windows inside and outside and dont have enough words to say how desapoited we were. Went back to the office to tell them we won't be able to stay there for the obvious reason, talkes to the manager I wanted to make sure I was not going to get charged, she said I had to call the company that I booked through I did, today is the 29th I still have promises that they were going to take of it, my immune system i down do to cancer problems, I can go on and on but I figure you get the picture, after a fer hour of our arrival we have to go I find another place to stay. we did and we had a great time.

besides the fact that the location and view were GREAT, i would probably not go back here. the room was dirty, and they came in once and changed our beds, and swept the floor, and that was only after i called and complained 6 times. the refrigerator was gross, and so was the stove. the staff was nice however, it took them forever to answer our requests. if you want a decent place to stay and dont really care about having clean sheets and a clean floor, then this is ok. but if you looking for something more classy i suggest you go somewhere else. :)

Likes: Kitchenette, beachfront, awesome view, close to Sharky's and Bare Foot restaurants, close to parasailing and jetskis, great for spring break, cheap, complimentary breakfast, pool is ok, great for short trips, spur of the moment or spring breakers, friendly maids. Dislikes: SMALL BEDS, SMALL ROOM, SMALL BATHROOM, ONLY TWO OUTLETS IN ROOM, BATHROOM DIRTY, VERY RUDE FRONT DESK STAFF, NO MICROWAVE IN ROOM, NO TABLES OR CHAIRS ON PATIO(1ST FLOOR), 1 MIRROR IN ROOM, DESPERATELY IN NEED OF UPGRADES, FIRST LEVEL SMELLS BAD, STAINED SHEETS. Side note: Beware of the months of March and April. Spring Break season can be very ugly for families. (Beer cans all over beach although they were cleaned up nightly, nudity, profane language and behavior from younger guests.)

This was absolutely the most disgusting motel I have ever had to stay in. We ended up checking out early and getting a room at a different hotel. When we got there, we had no water..and even after it got turned back on, we had ice cold showers ALL week. Not one of us had an even slightly warm shower. There was also hair in the shower which proved it had not been fully cleaned, and sand in our refrigerator..not to mention it smelled like a sewer. There were two ladies working the front desk and one was the most rude 'customer service' employee I have EVER came in contact with. What was insane is that 4 of us payed $350 dollars a piece plus a $50 deposit, which is the same and in some cases more than many others who went down and stayed in a VERY nice hotel. I will NEVER stay here again!

The amenities listed: fitness center and tennis courts and spay do not exist. The hotel has a great breakfast and beach front view and a pool and laundry. No jacuzzi. No weight room. Keep in mind it is a Quality Inn. It's basic. Our room was clean but my friend's was not. Hair in tub and floor/carpet filthy. The hotel lists a certain price but when call to make reservation that is not the price you get. My room was charged 30.00 more than my friend's. When my friend asked why the difference she was told my room had a kitchen. It didn't. The hotel management tried to make it right by giving us tickets to get into a local fair.
