If you don't smoke don't get a 'smoking room'.

I reserved a room here 6 months ago for the Paducah quilt show and could only get a smoking room. My friend and I have terrible allergies so I was told that they could put a machine in there to suck all the smoke out. Well, I have never smelled smoke as bad in any motel anywhere that I have stayed in the past. The receptionist was really nice but I was told that I reserved a smoking room so couldn't get a refund.
 
 
 
 
 
The Super 8 in Superman's town

I always stay at the Super 8 on the north side of Metropolis, Illinois because it's always clean, the staff is helpful, and it's close enough to downtown for all the excitement and it's not far from I-24 for a quick dash home. The breakfast is always hot and the waffle maker is a great idea. Plus, there are some terrific restaurants nearby (Huddle House and The Buggy). Every time I stay in Metropolis, I'll stay at the Super 8.

The SUPER people at Super 8

The Super 8 in Metropolis, IL can brag about its friendly, helpful staff and its clean, comfortable rooms. Located just off Interstate 24 and surrounded by a good variety of restaurants, the hotel is a few minutes drive from either Metropolis or Paducah, KY. The fresh waffles and good coffee gave a good start to the day while the amenities like the mini-fridge, the air fresheners, and the wi-fi just served to make the stay a little more like home.
