Never again...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/09
If you're so tired you can't see straight, this is the place for you. If the check-in experience doesn't scare you away, the "non smoking" rooms have most definitely will. The cover-up spray used is almost as bad the the smoke smell. The beds are like cardboard boxes with not-so-sanitary little bedspreads on them. The old saying "you get what you pay for" never had more meaning!!!

I like that it is walking distance to nice restraunt, parks, shopping malls. the service was nice and the desk clearks were nice and they made everthing so easy to understand if you had any question about this. the rooms were clean and spacioes. the spa and the pool were cool to I had fun and I would be back in the future.

A full service motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/04/07
I have stayed at the Ferryman Inn while seeing clients in Centralia over the past ten years. I have always experienced a warm welcome, a sound sleep and excellent service there and I strongly recommend it for business or recreational travelers. It is very conveniently located for restaurants, shopping and freeway access. Joseph Gretsch

It was simply ok
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/02/07
We stayed there in November of last year. Though the staff was great, ( the guy behind the desk is very polite and informational ), and the rest of the staff was great also. However we noticed this guy, ( we found out later he was the owner ), who sat in the lobby and watches the tv very loudly. He also doesn't have much trust in his employees. He jumps up when the guests come in and he tells the clerk what to charge the guests as they arrive. You can tell by the looks on the clerks faces how embarrassed they are. As we have stayed there many times in the past, and as a business owner myself, the owner of that hotel should remain just that and have more confidence in his clerks and quit butting in everytime a guest walks in. Also him sitting in the lobby and watching the tv as loud as he does is rather annoying.

Convenient, comfortable, good value
By Susan, 09/27/06
I have stayed here many times by myself and with friends. It is a convenient location, and within walking distance of many restaurants and close to outlet shopping. The real plus for me is that they are very accommodating for my two dogs. There are quiet places to walk and a big vacant lot across the street. There is a small outdoor pool in the summer and a whirlpool tub indoors for winter use. Often there are coupons for discounts in the front office, for example, the buffet at the casino in Rochester. Beverages, including O.J. with a variety of breads, jams, cream cheese and often apples for a simple breakfast. A great lunch is available in the little antique/gift shop down the road. Fast, Mexican and Asian food nearby.

The Anex Rooms Are Nasty!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/05
We stayed in the main building the first time and that was OK. The rooms are old fashioned with old old TVs and old bed spreads and curtains, etc. It isn't anything grand. The second time we stayed in the "newly rennovated" Anex building. I'm not quite sure what exactly was "newly rennovated" about it. They still reak of smoke smell, the TVs in many rooms were so staticky that you couldn't watch TV, the beds are hard and you can feel the coils through the mattress, the shower curtain was thin see-through cloth material that wasn't water resistant so the entire bathroom floor filled up with water after one shower; the front desk clerk called our room 4 times within 20 minutes telling us we hadn't paid for our first nights rent yet (which we had - we had our credit card number down there). Apparently she was calling the wrong room but it took her 4 times to figure it out. It was just not a memoriable stay. We are trying out a more competent (hopefully a little newer) place our next visit (which is soon).
