Silver Cloud Inn Eastgate, Bellevue

Maybe the other reviews are paid social media staff, but this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The room smelled horrible, and the proximity to the freeway kept me from getting a wink of sleep.

The Silver Cloud Inn Bellevue is ideal for business travel. The staff is phenominal, the rooms spacious and very clean. The hotel is easy to get to with quick access to Seattle. I can not say enough about my experience at the Silver Cloud. As a business traveler who is in hotels, more than home, I do not hesitate to say this place is my favorite. I am here alot and not once have they failed to meet expectations.

At our check in I was sternly reminded that since I had booked with Expedia I should be grateful for the price after I had mentioned that I was a member of the Silvercloud rewards system. I hadn't planned on any further discounts but had just mentioned the plan as that after seeing it on the registration form. Additionally, the new plasma TV did not work for the new release movie Shrek 3 and when I called twice for help no one was available and we still were charged for the movie. The ice machine was broken and the room it was located smelled terrible. ( 4th floor) Early in the moring there was a large number of workmen on the floor installing new TVs which is wonderful, but as the guest I think the timing could have been better for keeping the hallway cleared when folks are trying to sleep or check out. At least a mention of the situation by the front desk would have been considerate that that woudl be happening. I felt like the basics traveling needs we count on felt short of the ususal Silvercloud standard.
