The Nisqually Lodge, Ashford

I was in Ashford to spend two weeks on Mt. Rainier. The first week, I camped out at Whttaker's Bunkhouse down the road. The second week, my wife was joining me and I moved to the Nisqually Lodge. I needed to check in a day early, and they accomodated me without any problems. In fact, I was treated like family. Once my wife arrived, we were both extremely pleased with our choice of lodging. The front desk manager (whose name I've unfortunately forgotten) who was filling in for the owners was wonderful. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I loved being able to open the window and enjoy the clean, fresh mountain air! The Nisqually Lodge isn't a five star resort - but why would it need to be? It's close to Paradise (really!), and as good a place as anyone could need or want to stay in while visiting Mt. Rainier. We'll be back, and I hope that those of you who read this will visit there, too. It's a great value for your dollar, and is simply outstanding!

This lodge is located very close to Mt. Rainier. We arrived late and had outstanding service. The rooms were very nice as well as clean. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I definitely recommend this lodge for your next Rainier trip.
