49er Gold Country Inn, Weaverville

Looks nice enough from the outside. The shear number of tweakers staying there worried us. We found out from the owner that he takes vouchers from the local church for homeless, etc. That is fine but one of them was harassing other patrons during our stay(including us) for money. The second day just my spouse stayed and the owner gave his room away (it had already been paid for and had his stuff in it.) He showed up at the door that evening to find somebody in his room with the TV on and a note on the door saying he needed to get a new key. The owner did not apologize and he just said the lady "Just had to have that room, did not matter that his stuff was in it." So he had to retrieve his belongings, still in the room with the woman and move to a room used the previous night by the tweaker smelling of smoke.(non smoking facility) Needless to say he ended up sleeping at work in a tent and sleeping bag because all the rooms in town were taken up. The owner did not even offer an apology. I would say take your chances elsewhere.

The owners are very nice people who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are clean and it is quiet. We were able to walk to town from the hotel. We were amazed at how nice and affordable it was!

We thought this Motel was very nice, clean and spacious. Had everything you would need. For the price it is well worth it. We would stay there again no problem. It is also a very nice wark to town.
