Extremely poor - no stars for anything

My experience at this establishment was awful. I was travelling alone, it was late and I was too tired to go further or I never would have stayed after seeing the room. The person on duty charged me $81.00 for a room that was listed to cost $55.00-65.00 on the sign in the lobby. His explanation was that the price listed was the "spring" price - when it clearly said summer. He handed me my thin, poor quality towels (always a bad sign!) and I went to the room. The room was dirty, two lights didn't work, the bed was made with the bottom sheet upside down (edge of sheet at top edge of mattress), the bath sink drain was extremely slow to drain, the one tiny bar of soap (no shampoo or body wash, etc.) was in a damp wrapper, the TV remote battery was almost dead, the tub looked dirty and I stood on the facecloth while I showered. I took the bedspread completely off the bed to avoid having to touch that. The windows and door locked, the curtains covered the windows and the air conditioner/fan worked. Those are the only positive comments about the room.
