Returning Guest and Proud of it!

I was surprised to read these reviews... my family and I have had two very positive experiences at Misty Harbor and my experience has been that the guests tend to be rude, NOT the staff.
Every staff member I've ever come across greets you with a smile. We've stayed twice, once during this past summer and again before the new year this winter.
The summertime stay was, I'll admit incredibly hectic, since we booked during a concert at the hall up the road. But the service was flawless both times.
The first room was more sparsely decorated than the second and a bit fatigued...but impeccably cleaned. The first room was also bigger and on the lake side of the road, so the view was beautiful! It was such a luxury to have the beach right there for the kids and they loved playing up in the lofted room.
Upon check out at the end of our first stay, I was waiting in line to finalize payment for the room and a man was trying to finagle his bill, because his wife had requested to move. The girl behind the desk did as he asked and then the staff moved everything for them! And when I asked what the issue was with the quest, it was that his food had spoiled because they hadn't shut the refridgerator! These quests were so rude, I just couldn't believe it.
The room we stayed in the second stay was far and away more decorated and had updated appliances and furniture. I was told by the staff that some of the condo owners take more initiative than others and that the managment is attempting to update all the rooms on property.
In comparison, the first bedroom we stayed in had two bedrooms and a pull out sofa bed in the living room. For the second stay, we rented a one bedroom suite and found the size adequate for a family of four. The sofa bed is not meant for anyone over 100lbs, but was perfectly fine for the children. If there were four adults, I would recommend the two bedroom suites.
Overall, I highly recommend Misty Harbor and would just like to finish with a story: when we left in the mornings and got back to the room for lunch, the housekeepers had even set up the kids toys in cute displays. One of the days, we came back to find them still tidying up for us...and what could have been an intrusive time was not that at all. I brought my youngest in and laid him down for his nap, and the maids finished up and whispered goodbye. And all I can keep thinking of when I read some of these reviews is that it's all in your expectations...and ATTITUDE!
