Aqua Beach Resort, Wildwood Crest

The dirtiest motel we have ever stayed at. The floors were filthy, there was hair in the shower, food wrappers behind the nightstand and a disgusting bathroom. The first room we were put in had a strong moldy odor and we were told that it was "recently renovated" when we booked. We asked to be moved and the next room was even filthier than the first. The beds are so uncomfortable that your back will ache for days. The mattresses actually touch the floor in the bedframe! The sofa bed matress is as thin as a reem of paper, The sheets were stained and there were hairs in the beds. We slept on towels brought from home over our pillows and sheets. We stayed last year and our room was much cleaner with comfortable beds. I have never seen a motel go downward so quickly. Although we like the location, we will never stay here again. I still feel disgusted they we slept here at all. It is pretty sad when your 9 year old child cries at night that the bed is so uncomfortable that they can't sleep. We checked at a day early because we couldn't stand to sleep there even on more night. Please do yourself a favor and stay someplace else.

we went for 4th of July. The hotel is ok. Great location, the employees are very nice but the people at the front desk are all very stressed, rude and seem not to care once you are already there. The pool opens at 9 which is late in hot days. The rooms are nice and clean, at least the beds, kitchen and bathroom were clean. I would go back for the location if I dont have another choice. it's a little expensive for holidays just because the service is not great!!!!

When we first got to the Hotel we didn't even know that we were at the right on because they don't have a sign for the Hotel. When we got in the room the AC wasn't on, so the room was stuffy. The bed was so hard I could barely move in the morning and my back ached very bad. My son slept on the Sofa bed and it creaked every time he moved plus the blanket for it was like a stiff rubbery blanket. The toilet clogged up. The pots and pans that they supplied were "dollar store" quality and everything I tried to cook in them burned! The rooms are all over the place and you feel like you have to walk halfway around the building to get to your room. They barely give you anything in your room. They supply you with a coffee pot and filters, but no coffee. The Hot tub was about as warm as the pool and half the jets weren't on. They don't seem to wipe off the lounge chairs that are by the pool because they were dirty when we went to use them. The staff wasn't very nice either. I don't see where they feel they can call themselves a luxury Hotel. Far from it!!! I don't think the rooms are worth the $$$, we were in one of the newest rooms added to the Hotel.

dirty rooms, sofat beds so thin even your dog will refuse to sleep on it i will go back to wildwood crest but next time i will walk in to the place and check the rooms before putting any money down.

Where do I start? All Lies!! Book the room, was told it was ocean front.. got there it was barely ocean view. More like parking lot and street view. Was told 2 times my room was ready (during a 40 min wait) and it wasn't. Then finally they confirmed it was ready.. 3rd trip up to the 4th flr room only to find out the door key card was not working. Finally got into the room... My garbage can is cleaner then the room we got. Smelled like mildew and very filthy. The one kitchen chair cushion was all cut up, couch, chair and carpet was nothing but stains. Now the staff has major attitude problems. Aqua Beach front desk staff is sooooo rude. Pictures in the brochure and on line look great.... but please don't be fooled. Very overpriced... One night in the ciacos room.. $505.98 ... Never again.. Stay at your own risk.

I booked the Indies room for my fiance and I to spend our 1 year anniversary there. I didn't read the reviews until after I booked the room. I was so excited from seeing their website and when I saw the reviews I got scared. I was going to call and cancel our reservation but then my fiance say said "no don't. We'll just have to review it ourselves" We got there around 12 noon and check in wasn't until til 3. We got lucky and our room was ready. I was so nervous and scared thinking it was going to be a dump. I opened the door and let out a sigh of relief. Our room was gorgeous! I don't know where these other people stayed at but this place was very clean and nice and cozy. Our room was directly across from the entrance to the beach and to the left a few steps away was the entrance to the boardwalk. I would say the only down fall is the price. We went early in the season and the following weekend the room price went up $100. In my eyes that's ridiculous but I guess people are willing to pay because that's when its considered peak season and that's what they do, jack up the prices. If we hadn't gone down the weekend we did we wouldn't have gone down at all do to the price of the room especially with this economy.

I stayed at the Aqua Beach "Resort" last year, as i have for the previous 4 years, with my wife for a worry-free getaway, and what we got was attitude and a lowsy room. The people at the front desk couldnt have been any ruder if they were doing it deliberatly, and other than the view of the ocean the room was definately not worth the money. when i booked i had to take two separate rooms, which was my fault because i booked the wrong days initially, however i was assured by the staff that my belongings as well as my food in the fridge would be moved for me without a problem. this was untrue, i woundup tracking down the cleaning staff to get my food back because they had just taken it and claimed it as their own. And the cleaning staff was a headache of its own, i cant recall 1 morning where we did not have to call the front desk to have our room cleaned because the cleaning people just didnt show up. The people who work at the desk were just nasty, my wife was pregnant and called for an extra pillow, which most hotels would send up to you, and they told her they didnt have any..... a "resort" with no extra pillows?? On our second night we saw a cockroach in our room and i called the front desk and said "i just wanted to inform you that i think you might have a roach problem" to which they replied "1 roach is not a problem"..... i paid close to a thousand dollars to stay there and that was the answer they gave me. to sum it up it was a horrible experience and it is the last time i will ever stay at the aqua beach, this hotel has been going way downhill in the last few years. This year me and my family are staying at the adventurer oceanfront inn accross the street and we are looking forward to it

am the owner of a tour company. I took 54 people to this hotel. I have been in business for 33 years, have been in all 50 states in the USA. I have never stayed in such a filthy place. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT book here! If you look at the pictures on the web site, they are very misleading! I took pictures of the bath room, bedroom, and the living room, if you want to see what it really looks like! The pictures are nothing like what you find in the room! The floors in bath room, and living room are disgustingly dirty! The grout in the bath room is supposed to be light grey and it is black from not being cleaned. I put towels down all over the bath room so I didn't have to stand on the floor and they were black! I wore white socks so I would be in my bare feet and they were black! Whatever you do, DO NOT go in the jacucci, my swimming suit was ruined, it has holes in it from whatever they put in the water and my ankle braclet which was sterling turned black! The jeweler said it is completely ruined. Two other people from my bus went in, one black suit turned purple, and one that was navy suit turned orange! I didn't sit on the couch because it had a big stain on it, I was so bad I wouldn't even put my suitcase on it. When I went down to complain, they told me there wasn't any other rooms available and that I had the best room there! I had 54 people there, and felt if mine was the best I would hate to see theirs! They were all alike totally filthy! I asked to talk to the manager 2 days in a row and they said he wasn't available! I asked them for him to call me in my room when he was available, and 5 days later when I checked out with my group, the manager still didn't not have the courtesy to call me. PLEASE do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay here. I wouldn't stay here if it was free!

My only regret is that ZERO is not allowed as a rating! It has been several years, but I still have nightmares about the place. The pictures in the brochure is the hospitality industry's version of the bait and switch. The rooms were beyond disgusting. Dank and mildew were everyday experiences, and it only rained once. The kitchenet and the refrigerator were inadequate. On the whole, never go to this place. Pitch a tent and stay on the beach!

This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever been in. The pictures are NOTHING like the website. We were treated rudely by the front desk when checking in. When we got to the room, we were stunned. The carpets were filthy and moldy. The kitchen was greasy. The bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned. The beds had stained pillows, sheets and blankets. It looked like the beds had never been changed. One of the beds leaned dangerously to one side as if broken. I would never in a million years suggest this hotel to any one.
