Turfmor Motel, Wilmore

Well, to start with the room smelled very musty. Supposedly they had just finished cleaning the room, but when I turned back the cover on my bed there were several hairs in it that were quite obvious. The mini fridge was sitting on the luggage stand and the microwave was on top of it. The ice machine was broken, and looked like it had been for quite some time, and the soda machine was broken also. Overall, I have seen worse, but I haven't stayed in those places more than once, either. I definitely would not stay at the Turfmor again.

We had a great experience at the Turfmor, although it was a little unusual to check in and out at a convenience store. The room was not fancy, but was clean and in good repair. The mattresses looked new and the bathroom had been redone recently. My 6'3" husband thought the double bed was too short, but it was comfortable anyway. No frills, so bring your own shampoo and hangers. The $53 price was reasonable and the location very convenient to Wilmore. Wish we had stayed there on our previous visits to our son at Seminary.

It's a cute little motel near Asbury College. The bed was fine to sleep in, it was all clean, the door had good locks, and everything was great. I thought the $50 was a little steep for the room, though.

I have stayed at this motel at least once a year for the past several years now, and absolutely love the place. I have stayed in all of the "high-dollar" hotel chains, but none of them compare to the hospitality and service that I receive at the Turfmor Motel. It is in a quiet part of the country, but still close to all major attractions. The rooms are equipped with microwaves, refrigerators, and coffee makers (with complimentary coffee), unlike other hotels where you must pay extra for these ammenities. It is a small motel, ran by one person, and one housekeeper, but they strive to do whatever is necessary to ensure that I enjoy my visit. They are always willing to go that "extra-mile" when I am there. Some of my friends have stayed as well, and say the same things about the Turfmor Motel. If you want to get away from the whistles and bells of all those "chain" motels, then I strongly recommend that you check this place out!!

This is a very small and old building. The door is secured with a steel cable around the doorknob. The bed was so hard it felt like a board with thin padding. The towels were stained. The room was very over-priced for what you get. You would need to be very desperate to stay here. I realize that this may sound unbelievable but how could anyone make up this stuff. Creepy Turfmor "Hotel?"!!
