If you are looking for a quiet, spa like retreat, this is not the hotel for you. Location is great if you want to be in the middle of a party atmosphere and shopping. View of the Marina is beautiful especially at sunrise. We had a mini suite which was nice and clean. Bed was hard, but you got plenty of pillows! No tub, just shower. No beach. Hotel does not have wireless internet services. This was a semi working holiday for me and we had some difficulty getting an internet hookup in our room after being told "no problem". We ordered it on Sunday and after checking every day, several times a day we finally got it on Wednesday afternoon once we complained to the management that morning. Breakfast & lunch buffets were good. Dinner in their finer dining restaurant was very good. A must have is their Spanish Coffee! It is quite the treat. Food service staff were wonderful. Walking distance to other very nice restaurants. Hated the poolside atmosphere. I was looking forward to sitting by the pool getting some much needed sunshine and reading a good book. Unfortunately, because of planned activities, the pool's activities staff were very loud as was the music. I only spent one hour by the pool during my 6-day stay! You would be better off sitting on your veranda getting some fresh air and hearing the sounds of the Marina. I will be returning to Cabo San Lucas several time within the next two years, however, I do not plan to stay at Tesoro.

We have been to Cabo 3 times. This was by far the worst experience we have had. The Tesoro rented us a room that was not fully renovated. It didn't have curtains (sunlight at 6am = killer) no safe, no proper running water (non at all one day) rude and unhelpful staff. at check in, they wouldn't give us our all inclusive wrist bands. we did not eat or drink on the property for a week. although they did charge us the all inclusive prices. All of our requests were ignored. Management was of no assistance. No iron, no ice bucket ( didn't matter, ice machine didn't work), no coffee maker, units with kitchens had non of the above and no dishes or pots and pans. fridge didn't work. no remote for the TV. this all inclusive package contained nothing. We paid the price and received nothing. Bad choice. The location was the only good thing. Liked staying on the marina and in town. Not worth the hassle though.

Our trips starts with 4 out of 7 of our rooms were broke into. The theives took two watches, three cameras, and $$$$. The staff did nothing to help us out. We felt like criminals. The food was bad. The walk to your room is encredibly long. One room never had A/C for the whole trip. I will never go back there again.

I just returned from an 8-night stay at Tesoro. For Mexico, it was an overall good experience, below are the pros and cons for my stay: Pros: Great location, most of the staff is friendly and helpful, the recently remodeled rooms are nice, free internet in the lobby, and the food was decent for an all-inclusive. Cons: Water in the shower was warm some days, cold others, many of the reception staff are downright rude, the jacuzzi was old and tired, and there was constant construction (jackhammers) going on throughout the day. If you can get past the loud construction noise, this is a decent place to stay. It's located right on the marina, and the views are great. The all-inclusive food is served buffet style, and they did make an effort to vary it throughout the week (italian, mexican, french, etc.) The "24/7" food area is very sparse - chips (many times no plates) cheeze whiz, hot dogs, beer. The inside restaurant is nice, but the surcharges for all-inclusive guests are high ($12 extra if you order shrimp or beef, $22 for lobster). They provide a free water taxi to the beach, along with drink coupons for the all-inclusive guests, but you have to know to ask for it. This place is great for the party crowd, but if you're looking for something more upscale and relaxing, I'd stay at a hotel directly on the beach away from the marina area.

Sure, its a bargain, but you'll pay for it in many other ways. The "all-inclusive" food includes nothing but cheese wiz, shriveled hot dogs and greasy potatoes. The service is absolutely terrible and you are treated as a criminal and an unwelcome house guest. Rooms are decent, but do not get properly cleaned during your stay. Buyer beware!!!

They treat you like a dog/criminal if you want to bring a friend over that is staying at a different hotel!! They won't allow it and are very smug telling you so. I have never seen this before at any other Mexican Resort.

I loved the Tesoro and we are planning on going back. All inclusive is the way to go. The beds were hard but the location is great. One side you are on the Marina and the other entrance you are right down town Cabo.

I booked a package for this hotel in Jan. since we go to the Sammy Hagar's Birhtday party every year. I planned ahead so we could stay in town since you have to stay in line all night for the concert tickets. When we arrived after a long day of air travel from Detroit. The front desk had said are travel agent had not made a payment on our paid package months in advance. I did not have a cell phone that worked. After a hour or so trying to work this out I was able to call my son at home he did a three way call the travel agent called and confirm payment was made and suddenly they were found our pre-paid reservation several people had problems at the front desk. People were being transferd to other hotels. We were transferd for a day to another hotel out of town. Which did not work for us since we had to stay in town for the concert. It messed everything up. Also I could not unpack for one day. The next day we could not get our room to unpack till 5:00pm. So we lost two days of our vacation. They gave us a cheap bottle of wine on the 4th day there to make up for it.

AI: not worth it, the food isn't that good. drink prices are so cheep everywhere you won't miss out since the AI only includes the cheapest tequila Beer(tecate) and bacardi rum. the food surrounding the hotel is GREAT. try it, nice prices and better atmosphere. this hotel is BORING but the location downtown party nightlife can't be beat. not recommend for familys, mostly for a young group looking for a good deal and convience to where they'll be. the beach area the hotel has is nice and the water taxi is fun. try it if you can get a good deal but if you find a better deal somwhere else i'd surely take it.
