Omni Hotel Hotel & Villas, Zona Hotelera

The Omni Cancun is a wonderful place to stay in Cancun. My wife and I vacationed there for a few days on the week before Christmas as kind of a relaxing get-away. The location was perfect for being able to relax and enjoy the scenery and quiet. Being on the south end of the hotel zone is the perfect area for relaxing, as it is out of the main shopping and club area (which was our intent). The bus stop was just a short walk to the road (probably 300 yards or so) and provided easy access to any part of the resort area we wanted to go to. The service was A+. Everyone was very friendly and spoke English very well (very helpful). The rooms were very nice and very clean, with a great view of either the ocean or the lagoon. The food was awesome and very professional, especially the Da Vinci, very elegant. Being the week before Christmas, it was fairly slow around the resort and so my only complaint was that the outdoor bars tended to close around sundown, but that may have been due to the time of year we were there. Overall it was a wonderful experience! My wife and I wished we had more time to stay, but we had to come back to reality at some point. I would highly recomend this resort to anyone!

This hotel was wonderful! We will always return to the Omni. We had the all inclusive, which is a must here. The food is great everywhere in this hotel and the presentation of the food is great as well. We loved La Paloma restaurant with the buffets there. Wow! We didn't get tired of this food, 3 times a day, for 6 days there! The service here is amazing. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel at home. It is truly a 5 star hotel. Make sure you get ISAAC as your waiter at La Paloma. You will see why we are recommending him. He gives the best service. The AC works great and the floors are marble everywhere, which can get a bit slippery, but I was wearing sandals; mu husband didn't have this problem. The pools are great as well, the beach does have large rocks, but there are people in the ocean right next to them. I believe if the hotel could do something about them, they would have. You will not be dissapointed. We were there Thanksgiving week, 2007 (last week) and we still received the best of service even though it was a full house. Stay here, you won't regret it! It's also great for families. We saw a lot of families here enjoying the pools and beach all day. They seemed to really enjoy it. We will return with our two boys in the near future.

Location was great. Across the street from a ATM, Bank, two convenience stores, and McDonalds. Bus stoped in front of hotel plus cabs always waiting outside door. Beach was beautiful but large rocks made for difficult time for kids. But many pools made up for it. Food and service were great. Room was large and clean. Airconditioner was cold even when temp outside was really hot. Wedding party had a great time.

I loved the Omni Cancun , this place was located in the quite area , away from downtown hustle and bustle of the club scene. The rooms were very clean, I had a great view of the ocean,room service was great, the food was excellent. I did not get the inclusive package as that ties you to being there at certain times of the day and does not allow for checking out other restaurants, or places. Overall as my first time in Cancun, Mexico I have to say it was the best and most fun vacation I ever had. My only bad experience was with the people that are looking to sell you a time share , from the moment I arrived at the airport they get you, hook you in with free tickets to various parks, once I arrived at the Omni they try to hook you there too with a counter offer, they saw the paper that was give to us at airport, so hide it if you get hooked at airport.They will claim that it is a hoax, not true. So if you ever go to Cancun I highly recommend it.

Omni Cancun Hotel and Villas was the most wonderful resort that I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The people were extremely friendly especialy the Aqua World desk guy Enrique.:) It was clean, the service was great, and the overall ambience was breathtaking. A definate five stars and an ideal vacation spot.

The fisrt time I made contact with an agent to attend Omni Cancun I knew I was going to have fun.Fist let me tell you when you get off the plane you can't wait to get a beer or something cool to drink.My shuttle van driver picked up his passengers and brought us to the hotel.Because of the time that I arrived I missed my welcome greeting so they came to me the next morning.They gave me Omni dollars and a time to see the resort.I would have given the resort a 4-star rating but I was assigned a small hotel room with seperate beds.The food was incredible and the people are really friendly.The hotel staff was very helpful with any concerns that I might have had.I did not have to carry alot of money around because you sign for whatever you eat or drink,of course tips are always welcome.One thing you need to be careful of is torn peso's in Cancun they don't accept them yea I know it's their money but they will refuse it.I really had a great time and I will be back again count on it.

Overall hotel was nice and clean. On the other hand, there service and customer treatment is a different story. Seems like staff is trained to charge you for every means possible. My trip was already prepaid and booked through Yahoo. When I got there Omni charged me extra $1200 for addition people. Keep mind that everyone in my party was PREPAID through Yahoo. At first they say... CANT AVOID these charges what so ever. Then they try to sell me All Inclusive, which I dont need, in order to avoid the additional per person. After wasting 3 hrs of my time Yahoo informed me to pay the charge and it will be refunded. Also, they packed the mini bar full so you dont have room to put your own water. I made the mistake of taking sodas from the frig and putting on top on the outside. They ended up charging for sodas I didnt drink. I think this hotel is pretty scandalous!!! Management needs to be FIRED!!!

This was our first trip out of the U.S. After reading all of the reviews for many of the hotels we were hoping we made the right decision to go to the Omni. We were not disappointed. We went there to relax and enjoy the scenery amd that is exactly what we did. The Jr. Suite was fantastic. The staff was excellent. We spent most of our time out by the pool. Our bartender, Jose, was fantastic and always ready to replenish our drinks. The beach was a little rocky but it was still usable. There were sandy areas between the rocks that allowed for access. The amount of rocks exposed actually changed while we were there and became less of a problem. We were not really interested in the nightlife but we did take a trip down to that area. It was a very easy short bus ride. We also utilized the taxi service for a trip downtown and were very pleased when our driver offered to wait for us while we did our shopping. After about 3 hours we went back to where he dropped us off and there he was ready to take us back to the hotel. We will definitely go back to cancun and the Omni Hotel. I can't wait.

The hotel was beautiful, the staff did there best to put our needs first. We realy enjoyed our stay at the Omni. I would definitely stay there again.
