Holiday Inn Exp Stes Medical, Memphis

We booked a smoking room bc that's all that wasavailble, but when we got there the room was sostuffy with the smoke smell I just couldn't handle it, so I went to the front desk and lynda gave us a diff room non smoking!! Awesome customer service!

Location is great. Most of all the customer service was excellent and not just from the front desk, housekeeping as well. Passing staff in the hallway or elevator they would always greet you. The rooms were very nice and clean. I heard no outside noise and was able rest. I use the exercise room in this facility and it was clean and neat and offers a selection of exercise equipment options. This was my first time visiting Memphis and my stay in this hotel made it a wonderful vacation. Will definately choose this hotel next time I'm in the Memphis area........

This hotel was great. The staff, the hotel manager, everyone was so friendly. From the great start breakfast every morning to the daily room cleaning. Sunday we didn't leave the hotel room until 3:30 and I was pleasantly surprised to have the room cleaned when we returned from Beale Street that evening. It was hot the weekend we were there and they supplied us with two bottles of water for our adventure out. The location was close to the trolley which went downtown which was great. We just connected with the riverfront loop trolley and got a pretty good tour on the way! With the daily pass at just 3.25 what a bargin. If you need a taxi to Beale street only $7.00. I was not expecting such great service and will try more of the Holiday Inn Express chain. They even signed us up for the Hotel card so that we can collect points towards a free stay. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Memphis. Reasonable cab fair to downtown, beale street area and a great staff at a fraction of the cost of the Downtown Hotels! Save the money on the room and take a cab!

From the moment we checked in everyone was excellent! I have stayed here in the past and each time my family and I have had an excellent stay. It is close to downtown, Graceland and many other attractions with easy on and off the expressway, which is nice! The manager greeted us and we received anything and everything we need. As far as some people saying the area is bad that I feel is not true because it is one of the safer areas in the city because of the hospitals. Loveit, love it and will stay again and again!

This holiday inn is easy to access from the interstate, but that is it's only good quality. We just chose it for an overnight stay because the children wanted to swim. The pool was alright that night, but there were no towels to dry off with. The next morning I took the kids down for an early swim only to find out the the pool doesn't open until 10am. I thought that was pretty bad considering that regular check out is 11am. When I got back to the room to take a shower, we only had two towels for the four of us. I asked for more towels but was told that they did not have any more. So if your going to stay there bring your own towels. Also, the guest in the hotel were trashy, by this I mean they left trash all over the pool area, and in the breakfast area. Most Holiday inns are pretty good about keeping up with cleanliness, but everything in this one was dingy and dank. I felt like I was staying at someone's dirty house. Finally, it is across the street from a hospital and there was plenty of noise from that as well.

The exercise room has antiquated and always broken equipment. I can't tell you the number of times I have made requests to have them fixed, but the staff just simply choose to ignore it. I guess you get what you pay for. Cheap hotel. Cheap service.

The hotel staff was very nice, and the rooms were very clean. Our only complaint was that the area around the hotel didnt seem safe. We were worried to be out to much after dark.

My wife and friends stayed at this location last year for the southern heritage classic. Location, service, and rooms were excellent. 3 minutes to Beale street, 5 minutes to the Liberty Bowl Stadium. The only thing that I could find slightly wrong, was that the hotel was going through renovations and there were repairmen and there tools throughout the hall on the particular floor that we were staying on. If you were in a room next door to a room that they were renovating then you would get no rest. Before I booked for this years game I called to inquire about the renovations, and the desk clerk assured me that the changes were done and that my stay would be much better. So we are again staying at this location for this years game.

This is a great place to stay. The only thing that is a negative is that they do not have a gym. Other than that, this is a great place to stay! :)

We were very happy with our stay at the Hampton Inn on Union. It was close enough to Beale Street and everything we wanted to do, but we saved a ton of money staying here vs. downtown. We plan to visit Memphis again and we will definitely stay here again.
