Quality Suites Hickory, Hickory

The service at this hotel was good, possibly above average. I was unaware that this hotel did not have an elevator to it's second floor rooms until check-in. I think that most people, like me, assume that most Choice Hotels, or at least Comfort Suites, will have an elevator to the second floor rooms. They did not have my room type on the first floor. They do not have interior cooridors on the first level. This is one of many Comfort Suites that converted it's smoking rooms to non-smoking rooms. If you dislike the smell be aware you may be assigned to what was a smoking room. My room also had a kitchenette and jacuzzi. The room was a nice size, but had small double beds. They have a four chair dining table and a couch (with pull-out bed) and coffee table. Also you should know the hotel is old and may have some minor problems. The room was not very well lit, but this could be solved by changeing the wattage of the light bulbs. The internet connection was good, but had some connectivity issues. If you are not a computer tech or a network specialist you have have trouble connecting. They offer some tech support, but I did not try it. Good TV's with lots of channels. Small bathroom.
