Residence Inn by Marriott, Plainview

1) The price was higher than the posted price on the internet 2) They allow animals (big animals). As a pet lover, I think that is great but find the badly stained carpet and dogs barking all night unbearable. 3) Had two fire drills in less than 24 hours; 1 at 7am and 1 at 1am in the morning. Luckily they were both false alarms - but there was no proactive communication from the hotel. If it had been a real fire, many people would have died - since there were no efforts by the hotels to get the guests out. Also, the emergency firelanes were blocked by parked cars. The worst hotel I have ever been to in my entire life! Do yourself a favor - and stay far away from this place!!!

We were visiting from Maryland and the service there was wonderful. One of the mothers became ill and the staff was very courteous in obtaining a wheelchair for her and trusted us to return it. The breakfast area has a nice clean atmosphere. The location is quiet.

the residents inn is the best place to stay when your in new york weather for busness or a vacation with the family. this summer was my familys second time staying there,the staff are the best. friendly and very helpfull. the rooms are really great.the food is the best! rooms are very comfortable.we really enjoyed our stay. and cant waite to go back again next summer! plenty of things to do near by,from the beach to the stores. we loved our stay and will never forget the good times we had there.
