Holiday Inn Express Keene, Keene

This hotel was fantastic. Very clean, reasonable prices, very low. Great pool that was nice and warm. Loved it. Free breakfast that was great. Large variety of foods to choose from. The staff was so friendly, especially the lady, Judy who took care of the breakfast area. Good location. I can't say anything bad about it at all.

Upon checking into our hotel room, my boyfriend and I opened the fridge to put something in it only to find rotten, smelly food in it. We called the front desk and they immediately moved us into another room. Just to check we opened our new room's fridge to find garbage in this one as well. The desk gave us a $30 discount on our bill. I thought this was acceptable until we were both woken up at 6am the night morning by someone running on the tredmill with the TV blasting so loud I could make out every word on the morning news--our new room was next to the gym! It was a terrible stay and I will never stay her again.

We've stayed here many times, and will continue to come back! I can honestly say we've never had any negative experiences here. The staff (both office, housekeeping, and maintenance) are very friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooms have always been very clean, the beds are comfy, and we love the choice of two firmnesses of pillows. Also love having the microwave and refridgerator in the room. Clean pool and hot tub. Wish this area were larger though, and on last visit, did have to request pool towels from the front desk, as they hadn't been restocked in the pool area. Not a big deal to us though. The breakfast area has recently been renovated, and offers a nice continental breakfast and area to sit. There are cafeteria type trays available to take your breakfast to your room, if you prefer. There is also a newly added computer room, guest laundry area (it's small, but handy!), and small convenience store type room right off the lobby for essentials you may have forgotten or a midnight snack! The fitness room is nice for a little exercise and unwinding, and there are the typical vending machines. We feel that the hotel is a bit pricey for this area, but have found that the staff is usually willing to adjust the price somewhat. Coming out of the parking lot onto the access road can be a bit tricky, as there is a curve right before the parking lot entrance/exit...something to be aware of, and be careful of, especially while exiting. We have never had any negative experiences at this hotel, nor any extra charges. We just love this hotel, and look forward to staying there again! Kathi in Maryland (Keene native!)

In the last 6 months or so, we have stayed here 4 or 5 times and the service is great and they always greet us with a smile! We love the breakfast, the beds and pillow are comfy and we love the mircowave and refridge in the rooms! Only problem we have ever had was this last weekend and the cleaning crew forgot to put towels in our room. Spoke with the manager on duty and he took care of it and also gave us a discounted rate on the room! We will stay there every time we are in the Keene area! Hats off to you all for great service!!!!

We spent the weekend of August 26th at the Holiday Inn Express. It was a wonderful surprise to find a refrigerator and microwave in the room; we had our very well behaved Westie with us but did not feel we had been shuffled into animal land because of that. My husband LOVED the 2 types of pillows, and was a happy camper making popcorn in the microwave after a long day moving our daughter into her college dorm. Breakfast was so so...maybe some fresh fruit, asiago bagels next time? Nix the omelet. Appreciated the accessibility of a small breakfast being ready at an early hour. Will come back, for sure.
