Not a good experience
* We reserved the room for 2 days over Shell's 150th Anniversary, so we reserved the room about 11/2 months before the date. I took the confirmation # down and took it with me. So we get to the hotel on the day of check in and they only have it reserved for 1 night, don't take my confirmation number from us and inform us it's our issue because they are booked. Of course my husband and I were rather upset and informed them it's their issue and we want our room for 2 nights, again try to give them the confirmation number, and they still don't take it. They tell us confirmation numbers do NO GOOD! So finally they they tell us they will deal with it, it's their mistake and not to worry. Well we didn't find out until the next day around 10am that we were good to go and that was after we asked them to look into it all again for us.
* The waffles were disgusting at breakfast and not much of a variety for food.
* So then on Sat. another person that was in our group of people shows up and they took him down the hall, started opening up room doors to see which one was available for him to stay in that evening. They opened up 3 doors before they found a room and said " here you go, your room for the night"??? I mean really, is this what the world is coming to?
* As well the group we were with, they were quoted a lesser amount for their rooms and when they paid, they were informed the amount is in the computer and that was the amount they had to pay. They were quoted $68.00 before tax per night and ended up having to pay $110.00 per night which was more than we had to pay for a much better room??
* The hotel was very sketchy and not too sure how they have made it this long and have a the better reviews.
* So as I've said not a good experience at the hotel, at least Shell's Anniversary was a fun time, it made up for a suck-y hotel stay : )
* OUR WHOLE GROUP DOES NOT SUGGEST STAYING AT THIS HOTEL, AT LEAST IN NEW ULM, WE'VE NEVER HAD THIS POOR OF A HOTEL STAY IN OUR LIVES!
