Super 8 Lansing, Lansing

I was so disgusted by my stay I contacted the corporate parent, Wyndham, regarding this Super 8 hotel. Very bad conditions, and not worth any discounted price. This hotel is in desperate need of a good cleaning, and smoke free rooms. I had requested a room far away in a smoking and I could not sleep due to the smell of smoke so pungent throughout the night. The desk attendant told me he put me a good room on the first floor after I requested a top floor. He claimed he kept the troublemakers on the second floor! That just doesn't make sense! I should have turned around and left at the sign of cereal in the hall way, and the smell of cigarette smoke, but I just wanted to get some sleep. The cigarette smoke came through the door jams and fan vents all night....NO SLEEP. The guests above me were easilty heard everytime someone walked around. The room was in need of a good scrub down and I even though I checked for signs of Bed Bugs and didn't see any I wasn't so sure what else was on my sheets/bedspread! Lamps were placed in the room to give the dark room extra light...but they weren't plugged in to an outlet or located near an outlet to plug into. The bathroom walls were dirty, the tub had cracks as if one too many kegs were dropped in there, the drain was off. I didn't stay long enough to take a shower..I wanted out as soon as I could. I worried about my car in the dark parking lot and not being able to see it. Leave this hotel to the workers and college kids looking to get their kicks...

Stay far away from this hotel. From the owner walking into my room unannounced to the filthy conditions to the worst part, bed bug bites on my body and waking up with these little bastards coming our of my pillow!! Just writing about this makes me get sick. The best part of this experience is I had to pay to stay there!
