Tremendous Value

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel St. Marie. It is a lovely little hotel situated conveniently in the French Quarter. It seemed as though it was accessible to everything while still providing peaceful refuge from the hussle of Bourbon Street. The staff was very attentive, and the room was spacious, with a large balcony overlooking the courtyard. We felt like we were got top-notch accomodations at an unbelievable price, which left more $$ to splurge on other treats of New Orleans.

Highly recommended French Quarter hotel

Excellent location... walking distance to all the sights, restaurants, etc. Only 1/2-block from Bourbon Street, but room overlooking courtyard surprisingly quiet. Comfortable accomodation and friendly, unobtrusive staff... good value for the money. I would stay here again.

my friend and i stayed here in june and it was a very cute place for the money. the hotel is close to bourbon and walking distance to everything in the quarter. i do wish i broght my bathing suit though because it was 95 degrees and that pool was so inviting!

We had an excellent trip!!!

My girlfriend and I stayed at St Marie in the summer of 2004 and had an excllent time. this hotel is old but most of the buildings are. It is the French Quarter!!! The location is EXCELLENT. Our flight landed at 9:30 pm and we were having a drink on Bourdon at 10:15. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. If you are looking for a great value and fantastic location, this place is for you.

Close to Bourbon Street

Good points: It is one block from Bourbon Street and the cost for the room is reasonable for the value. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bad points: the air conditioner struggled to keep the room cool, which was bad for mid July. The bed was not really that comfortable. My family and I did enjoy our stay and would probably stay again if the opportunity came up. The breakfast was simple, but very good.

A charming lil' place I'm looking forward to visiting again!

Just a few steps away from Bourbon, but yet quiet enough to just sit on the balcony & enjoy all the ambiance this city has to offer. The staff were very nice & friendy..and helpful! There is a store just a few doors down incase you've forgotten anything..(and they make a good cup of coffee) The rooms were clean, bedding was clean and smelled nice. Water pressure was a bit low. I didn't go to the bar or the resturant there, but I hear it is nice. I would go back anytime and wouldn't hesitate to suggest this hotel to my friends

The Hotel St Marie

The French Quarter is my favorite place. I love this Hotel, with it's balconies & courtyard. The staff here is extraordinary. Don't let them fool You, The French Quarter has some of the finest people in the world. The location of The Hotel St Marie couldn't be better. I still keep New Orleans in my thoughts & prayers for all time*

Loved this hotel! The staff was extremely courteous, the rooms were clean, the sheets were soft, the bed and pillows were EXCELLENT, and it is located in the heart of the French Quarter! We walked everywhere and had a great time. Even if you can't get a "mind blowing" rate, stay here. (A tip - One of my friends said that if you stop at one of the tourist information booths on IH 10, they often have coupons for great rates and free parking at this or one of its sister hotels in NO.)

Irreplaceable

What I liked most about this hotel, besides the friendly staff, is the fact that it is located a mere half a block from Bourbon St... If the nightlife is what you desire, this is DEFINITELY the place to stay... Though, on the other hand, being since it is located so strategically within the Vieux Carre (French Quarters), 'tis also a wonderful place to reside if you wish to visit things such as Jackson Square, the river, St. Luis Cathedral, the Pontabla buildings...or, perhaps, go shopping, dine on local food, etc... I highly recomend a stay of at least one night at the Hotel St. Marie on Talouse.
