Hotel St Marie French Quarter, New Orleans

The French Quarter is my favorite place. I love this Hotel, with it's balconies & courtyard. The staff here is extraordinary. Don't let them fool You, The French Quarter has some of the finest people in the world. The location of The Hotel St Marie couldn't be better. I still keep New Orleans in my thoughts & prayers for all time*

Excellent location... walking distance to all the sights, restaurants, etc. Only 1/2-block from Bourbon Street, but room overlooking courtyard surprisingly quiet. Comfortable accomodation and friendly, unobtrusive staff... good value for the money. I would stay here again.

the rooms where clean and the location of the hotel was excellent, but there staff wasent as friendly or helpful as many of the other local people.

we stayed in new orleans the third week of august. 3 nights, tuesday, wednesday & thursday. i reserved our rooms online. they had an easy price schedule that coincided with their calendar. the rooms were just a tiny fraction smaller than they looked in the pictures, but their personalities made up for that. it was really nice to have our own balcony where we could sit out on at the end of the day & listen to the sounds of jazz & crowd noises half a block away. the pool was smaller, but the surroundings were amazing. containers with many different flowers popped with color! the hotel is close enough(if you drink a little too much & have to walk back), but is also far enough away that when you close the balcony door, you would not know you were only 1/2 a block from bourbon street. everyone there, & i mean everyone was as nice as they could be. the bistro hostess & the waitstaff, the bellhop, all super nice. we are already planning to go back next year & take more of the family.

My girlfriend and I stayed at St Marie in the summer of 2004 and had an excllent time. this hotel is old but most of the buildings are. It is the French Quarter!!! The location is EXCELLENT. Our flight landed at 9:30 pm and we were having a drink on Bourdon at 10:15. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. If you are looking for a great value and fantastic location, this place is for you.

I loved the balcony rooms and the unbelievable location. right in the middle off the action!!!! great great value for the money. staff is wonderful and the hotel is charming. most rooms have a balcony and it is just far enough away from bourbon street so you aren't kept up all night and close enough to be in the middle of the action very quickly 100 feet away. the absolute best value in new orleans. fun staff and guests.

This hotel is so close to Bourbon st, that it was perfect walking distance (about 1/2 block away). The service was great and the rooms are very spacious. Make sure you request a balcony facing the street. It'll make your stay even more memorable. I'd definitely consider returning.

What I liked most about this hotel, besides the friendly staff, is the fact that it is located a mere half a block from Bourbon St... If the nightlife is what you desire, this is DEFINITELY the place to stay... Though, on the other hand, being since it is located so strategically within the Vieux Carre (French Quarters), 'tis also a wonderful place to reside if you wish to visit things such as Jackson Square, the river, St. Luis Cathedral, the Pontabla buildings...or, perhaps, go shopping, dine on local food, etc... I highly recomend a stay of at least one night at the Hotel St. Marie on Talouse.

This hotel is in a great location: steps from Bourbon street but still very quiet and calm. The staff was extremely nice and professional. Great room and great experience.

The hotel was incredible. Great Service. Personal attention. Extremely clean rooms. Great Value for the money. I shouldn't tell anyone...keep it to myself.
