If we stayed again....
By rockmom5, 02/15/09
We stayed here for Valentine's Day. For the money, it was an average stay. The rooms were a bit cramped, but suitable for 2 people. Bathroom was so small you couldn't change your mind in it, but the sink was separate from the shower and toilet, so that helped. The fridge had a freezer section which was very handy to cool down our drinks quickly. One room had a very nice LG 32" LCD Flat Panel TV. If you stay here, insist on a room facing the back of the hotel. We were facing the front, right near the canopy for the main entrance. In the early evening, it was quite loud right outside our bedroom window, which included patrons of the hotel as well as traffic. The hotel is situated VERY close to the highway. Also, since it was February in Chicago, it was cold outside, roughly 20's at night, and the windows had poor insulation for not only sound but for the cold. The heavy draperies helped, but when you walked near the windows, you could definitely feel the cold. The living room portion was great for watching tv and having a snack/meal/drinks. You would not be disturbed by the outside noise if sleeping in that room, so I know facing the back of the hotel is the ticket. The rooms were clean, bathroom clean, however the shower head was very loose in the wall, which could mean some serious leakage down the road if the shower pipe is not secured properly. Front desk personnel were friendly. We did not try out the breakfast. The chlorine smell from the pool drifted into the lobby a couple of times while I was waiting for my key. I would go back but would definitely get a room in the back.

Not what I'd expect from Comfort Suites
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/25/05
Parts of the hotel need renovation. Elevator is slow and carpet dirty. External light illuminating hotel facade also lit up room at night. Hotel not sufficiently set back from busy road and windows don't do a sufficient job of noise insulation. Rooms a little cramped even though there is a seperate bedroom. Breakfast is not buffet style, hot breakfast available for an extra charge. Easily the worst Comfort Suites I have stayed at. Couple of positives: Refrigerator had a sizeable seperate freezer section. Good selection of TV channels. Computer available for guest use in the lobby.

Excellent Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/05
Clean all suite property, excellent courteous staff that will go out of their way and amazing Breakfast. Where can you find a suite with a Full Breakfast for under 80 bucks in Oakbrook/Chicago area?

Doesn't Honor Their 100% Satisfaction Guarantee
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/16/05
They first lost our reservation, which the staff made ammends for-yet not the same type room that we needed. However, the beds were unbearably uncomfortable (we woke up with back pain and slept poorly), the outdoor lighting immediately outside our room "lit" up our room at night, the pool was in very poor condition, and the rooms small-despite the "suite" styling. Even the elevator had a sign warning of more than 6 people in the elevator at once would make it get stuck-and at least 5 hours passed before staff removed the profanity written on that notice. We complained to staff about the beds and lighting at 7am, didn't hear back from management until around 11am and then they didn't back the guarantee. Corporate responded by not returning our calls but rather by sending a meaningless irrelevant letter. Our relaxing trip would have been perfect if we didn't have to deal with the poor service and searching for a new hotel. For only $30 more a night we stayed at a Hilton that far exceeded the quality of this Comfort Suites. I have stayed at other Comfort Suites without problem before, but sadly, the experience here was so bad, that I won't stay at any of their hotels again. This hotel costed way too much for the poor quality that it is.

Poorest Service I've ever had.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/15/05
The accomodations were average but what really kills the experience here is the service, or the lack thereof. After complaining to the front desk staff I was completely unsatisfied and without getting into the full story was basically told that if I wasn't willing to stay there they could rent out the room to someone who would. After complaining to corporate after the general manager wouldn't return my phone calls corporate would not respond with a phone call they simply sent out a letter that didn't even address my situation. Overall, this company will never get my business again. Take my advice, stay somewhere where they will value you as a customer.

Thanks CSOBT
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/26/05
Good staff, clean suites and excellent service. Very warm welcoming staff and knowledgible of the area. For $80, excellent spacious suite, almost twice the size of a room with all amenities. Liked the 2-TV per suite idea. The kids were happy watching their cartoons. Liked the french doors partitioning the two rooms giving me and my husband some privacy.
