Great if your 20 something
Pool area was nice, room was nice, but what they don't tell you when you make your reservation or when you check in is that there is a very popular nightclub on the top level of the hotel. It was a girls weekend away and we went out to dinner then to a small jazz club in Atlanta, then we had to stand in line just to get onto an elevator after we came back and then got kicked off the elevator because it was overloaded, not once, but twice (you'd think paying guests would be able to ride before club goers). Then we wanted to go back out of our room for a cigarette and a glass of wine, but couldn't remove the wine (that we brought from our room) from the building out to the outdoor lounge area because of the nightclub. They told us that normally it would be okay, but because this was going on we couldn't bring it outside. We couldn't even find a seat in the lobby to sit and just drink our wine because of all the 20 something party goers taking up every available seat, table and barstool. We're not party poopers, but we are pushing 40 and not into the nightclub scene anymore, had we been told it would've been different, and when we called to complain the manager didn't really care. We then gave up and went back to our room and realized how loud that nightclub was. When we called down again all they could do was offer us some ear plugs. So for those into the nightclub scene go for it, but those who just want to get out for a nice dinner, a few drinks and then hang out at your hotel, Stay away from the W in Buckhead!!!!!
