Caribbean Beach Club, Fort Myers Beach

My wife and I were looking for a place on Fort Myers Beach and were offered a room here. What a great little spot! Sure, the rooms are a little small but a vacation is about getting outside. The place was clean and the staff were great. The lagoon is great for bird watching and seeing stingray. Short drive into Fort Myers. The only knock is that my wife and I are avid runners and we can't run on the beach for any distance because of the lagoons. Small price to pay for a quiet vacation. I'd go back in a minute! In fact we are going back the same time next year.

We exchanged our time share for this place.... was so bad my husband wanted to pack up and go home. Pool was down when we got there and wasn't expected to be up and running until the day before we left. To get to the gulf you need to wade through water. Was supposed to have a "full" kitchen but instead got a microwave, a small electric burner, a large electric burner a bar sized sink and a fridge. Manager and lady that checked us in told us that Yes, that is a full size kitchen... ha! What a laugh! Thank goodness RCI was able to move us to a wonderful place down the road. All tile floors in unit, no sand or grit on floors when entered but feet turned BLACK! Don't think that they ever use a mop on the floor.. quite gross and needed to wear socks or flip flops while inside the unit! Bed was not comfortable at all. Just an awful place and would NEVER return there even if it was FREE!

Wow, drove 700 miles only to find out the pool is down and being redone!!!!!!! RCI could of called us and let us know!!!!!! We are really ticked off,95 degrees,three kids,no pool.BUMMER!!!!!

Love the location, great views from spacious balcony (all screened in), spotless clean rooms (and I'm extra picky!)only bad note is that rooms too small, we have a full size bed(bigger people will need to request queen size, it's been tight and cozy)it's ok to bring smaller kids on this size room, but glad my Mom was not able to come, really can't fit another adult here (only one bathroom), kitchen well equipped,Publix (supermarket) close by to buy food (if you want to cook!)If you are arriving late make sure you speak to manager on site, to get lockbox combination for your keys to the room (we were not told this but able to wake her up and she was so pleasant even with my aggravated tone). The beach is so nice and private feeling, there is a lagoon in front that you have to wade through (low tide to ankles, high tide to upper thighs) then gorgeous long stretch of beach. We saw 2 flamingoes land in the lagoon and so much beautiful wildlife (dolphins, etc.)warm waters. bring water shoes and a towel other wise you'll have to buy a beach towel here (can't take the room towels down and they don't provide towel service). We would consider coming here again! loving it! Oh and I have free internet connection!!

Even my mother would approve of this place-it was that clean. I was skeptic about the pool area being rataed as one of the nicest. Guess what, it really is! Wonderful activities & people.

REAlly, we loved the place. We had a wonderful stay. Met wonderful people. The events/meals planned were great (everyday something different). The pool area is gorgeous. The location is great and the wild life can't be beat-saw 4 roseate spoonbills in the lagoon just off the resort & watched them feeding for an hour! Our unit was extremely clean-no problems at all. AC worked great. And no I don't own a unit here, we simply rented a place for 4 nights in Feb 07.

We were a little sceptical after reading some of the reviews, but decided to go anyway. The rooms are small, but nice. You are there to spend time in the sun and have fun, not sit in your room (we were by the pool most of the time)and what a great pool area it is. A portion of the resort is being rebuilt and even that didn't bother us. The rooms were not dirty at all. The logoon is also a bird sanctuary and you see many types of birds, makes for some great pictures. Sunsets are gorgeous. There are little boats you can use to get to the ocean side, takes 10 min. unless you can row faster. all in all we had a great time and will go back again.

The rooms are a bit small but well big enough for a couple who want to spend more time in the sun than in their room. Friendliest place you will ever go to. We liked it so much we bought 5 weeks timeshare in it - Nuff said?

These rooms are sure dirty. My wife did not even want to shower. And they do have very strange smell to them, something like moth balls.

What the previous traveler wrote it is true. It is dirty and very small. You must have a very good tolerance for dirt and noise to stay here. I will never go back here again. Pool was cold as well as hot tub as pump was broken. No beach just dirty lagoon.
