Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Sacramento, Sacramento

I arrived back at the hotel around 9 this evening after having been gone since 8 this morning. I found housekeeping had not been to service the room. I called the front desk and housekeeping several times but no one answered. I walked over to the registration desk and asked for bath towels, wash cloths and hand towels. I was given the bath towels and told that 'engineering' was at the airport and I would have to wait until he returned to get the other items. I never did get them or the clean cups, coffee, clean sheets, etc. This property is run down and in need of a major overhaul. It also appears that they are renting to displaced people for extended periods of time. Every time I come and go these people are sitting on the steps, smoking. I have stayed at other Hawthorn suites and never had a complaint. There is nothing good to say about this one.

This so-called "suites" hotel is anything BUT a suites hotel. I booked a king suite, and got a regular-sized bedroom with a king bed. A suite, by definition, has a living area and a bed area. This so-called "suite" is such a joke. Not well-taken care of, either. Lift up the cushion on the chair, and find beer tabs and other junk. If I want a REAL suite, I have to pay them $40 more. What a fraud. And the staff are exceedingly slow. I would avoid this or ANY Hawthorn "Suites" hotel like the plague. By the way, I booked through Hotels.com, who refused to do anything. I'll never book through them again.

This is an outstanding bargain in a hotel. We come here yearly to the Jazz Jubilee on Memorial Day weekend with 2 adults and four kids. 2 adults in one bedroom, 2 teens in the other bedroom, and 2 pre-teens on BIG convertable sofa sleeper. 3 TV's. FULL kitchen w/range, microwave, refer, sink, dishes........everything. Plus you get a VERY decent hot breakfast thrown in with the room price. I would recommend this 100% !!
