Motel 6, Gadsden

Stayed at this hotel last night. Needed a place to sleep for a few hours while returning home. Called the hotel from the road and they were polite and helpful. When checking in, the lobby looked clean and updated. The rooms were awful! We rented three and each of them were disgusting. The bed linens were old, stained and some had cigarette burns in them. The pillow cases were discolored and had stains. Floors were linoleum, no carpeting anywhere. The floors were dirty. The bathroom linens were old, worn and disgusting looking as well. While all the linens appeared to have been washed, both bed and bathroom linens were stained and dingy. The shower/tub looked old and dirty as well. I get it. The hotel is under $40 for a room. But that does not mean it needs to be dirty and appear so unclean. One room we rented had a bad heater unit that kept turning off during the night and had to be turned back on constantly. Stay here at your own risk. We didn't get in until 1AM and had to leave by 8AM. We were so tired and just resigned to deal with the conditions as a trade off for the most sleep possible. If you want a cheap hotel and don't really care about cleanliness and sanitary conditions, this might be the hotel for you.
