Hotel Verneuil, Paris

This was our first time to Paris and we weren't disappointed.The Hotel was fabulous and Paris amazing with the added bonus of wonderfully warm weather in March ! Our room wasn't ready on arrival so the staff kindly took our luggage from us while we went off to get some lunch. We came back an hour and a half later and were shown to our room by the very friendly staff. The room was lovely, well decorated, although maybe a little bit small. There are bigger rooms. It was very clean and well maintained, and the bathroom was also very clean and modern. Breakfast was served in a lovely room downstairs, very nice and certainly filled us up ! There was a nice selection of croissants, cheese, yoghurt, cereal, toast, scrambled egg and an amaizing coffee ! The hotel is situated in a very good location - an easy walk to Le Louvre, d'Orsay, Notre Dame and good parisian restaurants. We enjoyed the food thanks to the staff recommandations. The ladies at the reception were very friendly ad helpfull., We really enjoyed our stay in Paris and would definitely recommend this hotel. I'm already hoping to return next year with my daughter.

I love the location and the feel of this hotel, however, be aware that firstly there is a flight of stone steps to the elevator in case you have problems with mobility and there is no one to help with your luggage, secondly, staff are not always on the ball (one lady did not even know the Musee d'Orsay's opening time), and most importantly check your bill upon checkout. We were confirmed to have breakfast included in our rate, however, the receptionist charged us then deducted it after it was brought to her attention, drinks that were offered to us by same receptionist were not complimentary although price was not mentioned when offered (they showed up on the bill on checkout); we didn't care for the drinks (water) and had we known they were not complimentary would not have accepted them. A couple I know of who stayed at the hotel at a different time was charged for the full breakfast although they specifically told the staff they just wanted hot beverages not full breakfast.

This is a quiet home like place. Staff was tops in my book... always warm... always willing to help. Rooms were fine... nothing too fancy... smaller than I initally expected... but very nicly done. Bathroom was updated and very modern. An excellent place to stay and enjoy the day... close to the shops, close to museum, and a joy.

We've stayed here twice and would again. The lift is one flight up which is difficult if you have heavy bags. Clean and comfortable in a lovely neighborhood and quiet street.
