Block Island is located about twelve miles off the Rhode Island coast. To reach the island you must take a ferry or a small plane, and once you arrive, you will be overwhelmed by the islands elegant beauty and small town charm. Activities include biking, parasailing, hiking on the many nature trails and beaches, sunbathing, kayaking, shopping, dining, horseback, and moped riding. A car is not always necessary due to the small size of the island, seven miles by three miles. For accommodations, please call our office and our friendly staff will be happy to help with our many apartments, suites, and hotel rooms. Check in for all our property is at the Block Island reservation office conveniently located across from the ferry landing in Old Harbor. We look forward to your visit.

I can tell you that I was somewhat leery of staying at the Water Street Inn after reading the other reviews. But I was blown away at how wrong the other reviews were! The rooms have obviously been redone recently. The rooms are clean, airy, well decorated and comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious, clean and the amenities provided are first rate! The staff is more than helpful and courtious. The location is perfect for those who like to walk around the area. And the convenience of being above one of the nicest places to eat (Mohegan Cafe) is the icing on the cake. We will be back - it is a yearly event for our group. But some of us are talking about going more often and of course, the only place we will stay is the Water Street Inn.

Wonderful Island!!!

I loved the Water Street Inn! I had a wonderful stay and the staff was incredibly nice. The location was fabulous! Right around the corner we found many tourist shops, small clothing stores, wonderful resturaunts (some fancy some average), ice cream shops, rentals and many other wonderful stores. Besides the shops there was a magnificent view from the rooms! I enjoyed how clean and neat the rooms were! I loved the choice of interior designs. I felt at home in the suite I stayed in. I loved taking walks on the beach located next to the inn. The Water Street Inn was one of the most magnificent places I have stayed in. I highly suggest coming to Block Island and staying at the local Water Street Inn.

very bad even though cheap

What a Great Place!

This Inn was in a perfect location. It is in the middle of Water Street right across from where the ferry comes into Old Harbor. Many shops to the left and to the right. It was also close enough to the few bars on the Island. We walked in and althought the room was small it was very comfortable. The bed was fantastic and even had a down comforter on it. We kept the room cool with an AC and an overhead fan, but the hallways were warm. The only problem is that this place was not handicap accessable for those that might need it.
